The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Gattis has been a solid catcher so far. I wonder why he stopped catching in the first place? Has he improved since he used to catch for the Braves?
He breezed him, one more time!

Because the Astros wanted his bat to be their everyday DH.

The radio guys kinda glazed over it.  I wondered if it was egregious or not.

Ball in the hole...Correa backhanded it, but Valbuena just sorta stood there and watched instead of sprinting back to the bag when he realized he couldn't get it.

Gomez grounds out 6-3

To the 9th...7-5 Sox

It's the same thing that made NFL replay review so sketchy during the first few years it was used... referees/umpires  don't want to show up their bros...

Umpires don't make the review call.

How did Marwin not advance to 3rd on that?

We certainly got screwed on a call, but the failure to play with their heads up will be the reason this goes down as a loss.

Abreu doubles to CF, as Gomez runs in a circle
Frazier...full count...flies out F8
Avila strikes out swinging
Lawrie flies out F8

To the bottom of the 9th...Astros chasing a pair

You got five runs off of Sale.  You gotta win that game.

Reed!  Gets his first big league dinger with 2 out in the 9th...brings the tying run to the plate

I'm happy for Reed, but this hurts a little more now.

Totally agreed. This one was in the 54 that can go either way, and they gave it away.

B9:

Robertson in for the Sox...

Gattis flies out F8
Valbuena flies out F9
Reed, pinch hitting for Worth, homers to RCF
Rasmus, pinch hitting for Marisnick, strikes out swinging at a pitch in the dirt

Astros step on their dicks to a 7-6 loss

Well that was an artisanal shitburger in the traditional style. Haven't seen many of those lately...

Last I looked Sipp was doing better against RH hitters than LH hitters. I would rather have Hoyt on the team then. Or, a LH reliever that actually can get LHers out.
