Seems like an early start to the season.  March 26th?

That is a tough final 7 games on the road to close the season.

I wonder if they'll ever get to play the Angels. Also, always great to close out the season on the road in interleague play.

2020 will mark the 7th season in a row where the Astros end the season on a week-long road trip.  Only once since 2011 have they ended the season at home.

If anyone wants to go to see the games at Yankee Stadium, I'd be happy to join you.

There are two games at Citi Field as well.

And I am thinking about DC and Boston -- the latter could be a problem because its my wedding anniversary weekend.

Looking forward to seeing the Astros play indoors at Mimic Maid Park in Arlington.

Was really hoping they'd be in Seattle when I'd be there in mid-July, but I may just be able to see them in Oakland around the same time.

That was probably another unpubilicized codacil in the sale to Crane.

My guess is that the Astros and other warm weather cities get more games in April and May, and the norther cities get more home games late in the year, and that's just kind of the side effect.  But I don't know.

Minneapolis to start August, to get out of the Houston heat, is one I plan on making.

Minnesota in August is fantastic. There are of course a bunch of nearby lake lodges you can go spend a few days at to extend the vacation.

The wife gave the thumbs up for 4th of July in DC. May try to swing Memorial Day weekend in Boston as well. Those are both parks I want to check off and cities we both love.

DC was my first choice, I’m worried it will be a zoo in DC then though.

I've been to DC for July 4.  Zoo-like is a good way to describe it.

The ballpark is sufficiently far from the National Mall that it should be somewhat insulated.  There are tons of hotel rooms around the ballpark too.  They can fill up near the 4th  once those near the National Mall fill up so book early.  There are also great options in Old Town Alexandria and the National Harbor Waterfront that are serviced by water taxi directly to the stadium.  A great and fun way to get to/from the game:

Edited to add:  Then there's Casa de das + Metro, which a couple of you crazies have availed yourselves of in the past....

That looks really cool.  Which of the 2 areas would you prefer?  Haven't been to DC in 20 years.

Check out The River Inn in Foggy Bottom - quiet neighborhood, Georgetown nearby, walking distance to Metro.

I've managed to spend a lot of time in Old Town. It's great.

It depends what you are looking for.  National Harbor is shiny and new with modern amenities such as an MGM Grand hotel and casino, a London-esque Ferris wheel, medium and high-end chain eateries, a big resort, outlets, etc...  Old Town(e) is 350 years old, replete with centuries old brick buildings, brick sidewalks, cobblestone streets, all modernized into nice restaurants, boutique B&B's and historical restorations of the revolutionary and civil war periods.  So, it's a personal preference thing and you can't go wrong either way.

The first sounds like something Tilman Fertitta built, I'm much more in tune with the 2nd.  Thanks.
