Bourn with a single and stolen base, then plated by a two-run rocket to LF b Pence. Lee follows with a single, then Downs gets a two-base error moving Caballo to third. 2-0 so far, bottom of the first.
-
Wallace plates 2 with a single to RF. 4-0 Good Guys with 1 out B1.
-

Dodgers lineup: Oeltjen cf, Theriot 2b, Ethier rf, Gibbons lf, Loney 1b, Mitchell 3b, Hu ss, Ausmus c, Monasterios p
-
Wallace with a great AB ending in a 2-run single. Manzella singles next. 4-0 Astros.
-
Good Guys bat around but decide to stop scoring at 4.
-
Downs starts a nice 5-4-3 double play to end the weak blue threat in the top of the second.
-
Middle 2: Fusion pro glide challenge 4, Panera bread 8. FML...
-
JD doing his best Dr Seuss
-
Bourn with 2 SB on Ausmus in 2 innings
-
Spaz!!! walks, Torrey ambles to the mound, Jeff Weaver coming in to pitch. B2: 1 out, runners at 1B and 2B. LAD 0, HOU 4.
-
Bourn with 2 SB on Ausmus in 2 innings
I think Bad Brad is something like 0-14 against runners.
Priceless taped goodbye by Baggy for Ausmus as a bumper. Really nice.
-
Weaver in to pitch to Lee, 1 out, runners on first and second.
-
Lee skies one to the wall in front of the Boxes but it's caught, two down.
-
Brownie says it's nothing to be worried about, but CJ isn't playing today because of his back. Should be in the lineup tomorrow.
-
Downs with an excuse-me checked swing roller to the mound to end the second.
-
Cool. The Pearland LL team is at the game. They got to meet the Astros in the clubhouse. Bourn told one of the players that he'd steal a base for him today.
-
Ausmus Ks. Surely BudGirl is at the game.
-
Weaver Ks too and at the end of 3 it's 4-0 Astros.
-
Middle 3: Panera CRUSHING Fusion pro glide challenge 18-4. Seriously, how in the heck MLB.TV has found time to play that commercial 18 friggin' times before B3 is beyond me...
-
Wallace called out on a pitch at least six inches inside.
-

So what you're saying is that I might not want to run out and get MLB.TV when my local cable decides to go Rangers-only?
-
Manzella bounces out but Castro with a nice single. Figueroa hits a twelve-bouncer up the middle for the force at second to end the third.
-

Not at all, as JD, Brownie and Astros baseball make up for the pain (20x now). I would advise you to remove all sharp metal objects from your general vicinity while watching said games however...
-
Oeltjen's single to right is the first Dodger hit.
-
Runner goes and Ethier hits a nubber to no man's land towards third and it's an infield hit. One down on Theriot's K. Gibbons up.
-
Gibbons clobbers one into the second deck in right and it's 4-3.
-
Loney launches one in front of the bullpen for a triple.
-
Mitchell pops up to center but it scores Loney and now it's tied at 4.
-
Figgy gets the K to end the Dodger half of the 4th.
-
Bourn grounds out 6-3. Sanchez follows up with a single to center. Pence!!! up.
-
Pence!!! singles Sanchez to third with a sinking liner to RCF. Lee's up, and Torre is going to the mound.
-
He's seen enough, and Bubba Gump is coming in to make some shrimp.
-
Lee bounces to third, 5-4-3 to end the inning. Still 4-4.
I really can't stand the stupid Coors Light commercials where they cut a gang of douchebags around remarks made by some coach or player. Incredible that someone with a key to the vault gave a green light to that kind of shit.
-
Ausmus flies out to the track in right. Lindsey PHs for Bubba and hits one in front of Lee, who stumbles while trying to pick it off the grass and it's a single.
-
Oeltjen bunts Lindsey to second, two down. Theriot up.
-
Ausmus flies out to the track in right. Lindsey PHs for Bubba and hits one in front of Lee, who stumbles while trying to pick it off the grass and it's a single.
Can't say I'm particularly miffed about Lindsey getting a hit there. Good for him!

I was just about to ask if anyone else was in the GZ.
-
Theriot walks to put runners on first and second. Ethier coming up with two down.
Chacin warming up.
Waited long enough, Mills out to remove Figgy.
-
I was just about to ask if anyone else was in the GZ.
Yep, hanging around trying not to gouge my eyes and ears out. Seriously (or rather deliriously) hoping against hope for a different commercial to come up (30x now, no exaggeration). Hell at this point I'd welcome the stepford wife/daddys little goil commercial.
That, and an out from Gibbons here with the bases juiced...
-
Chacin goes 3-0 on Ethier but ball 3 is waaaay outside. Castro blocks it well and scrambles to throw to third as the runners advance and almost throws it away. They go ahead and IBB Ethier and Gibbons is up.
Bases loaded, two out, 4-4 in the top of the 5th.
-
Actually I'd endure the commercial another 30x for an Astros W here!
-
Gibbons flies out to LCF, ending the threat.
-

My experience from watching the online stuff is that the rotation of commercials is very limited, so it may be that there aren't many purchases of ad time that include online broadcasts. Once you get that rotation started in a game, you're probably not going to see anything else for the rest of that game.
-
I hate that one commercial where they try to sell you shit.
-
Troncoso on the hill for the Blue Menace. Downs grounds his first pitch to short.
-
I hate that one commercial where they try to sell you shit.
Yeah, it's a lot crappier than that one where they try to get you to look at something.
-
It is pretty infuriating for them to jam commercials onto a service you had to pay to get anyway. Wouldn't you pay a little bit more for no commercials?
-
Wallace crushes one just under the yellow line in LCF for a double.
-
Wallace showing some solid power as of late, just missing a couple of homers (and hitting another).
-
Manzella with a liner to right but Wallace can't advance. Two out, Castro up.
-

Absolutely. I typically don't mind commercials too much, but the rotation they have on MLB.TV is beyond ridiculous. That, and you see the same ones every friggin' game multiple times. I mean seriously, how do you play a commercial 31 times prior to the B5 of a baseball game?
-

If you only sell two at that level, then they get run more often.
-
Castro with a bloop to center in the middle of the SS, 2B and CF that drops. Scores Wallace and with no one covering second, Castro gets into scoring position. Blum hitting for Chacin.
-
Drabek getting a call-up to start for the Jays this week. Good for him.
-
Blum with a soft fly to the line in left that drops and bounces into the stands, scoring Castro and it's 6-4!
-
And Blum makes it 6-4 with a slicer into left for a double. (JD: Blum with a cross-court winner).
-
JD reporting that they only got 4900 slips of paperwork on Harmonica Night, so they fell 1200+ short of the record.
-
Bourn flies out to left to end the inning.
-
Byrdak in to pitch the sixth.
-
Welcome to all those who were viewing the Texans-Ravens game...
-
JD reporting that they only got 4900 slips of paperwork on Harmonica Night, so they fell 1200+ short of the record.
For those of us unable to watch the game, why would Harmonica Night necessitate paperwork? Where was the record established?
-
Loney doubles to LCF.
-

They had to turn in paperwork attesting that they had played the harmonica and played that song with the rest of the people in attendance, because it was some record for the largest number of people playing a song on a harmonica at the same time. I think they needed over 6100 and they handed out 10,000 of them. I don't know where the record was set at.
-
Byrdak out, Fulchino in. First pitch a fastball running in around the eyes.
-
Mitchell pops up to Spaz for the first out. Hu is up.
I don't know.
-
Hu strikes out.
-
Welcome to all those who were viewing the Texans-Ravens game...
I always thought Elway sucked for snubbing the team and city that Johnny U put on the football map.
-
Hu strikes out.
Huh? I thought Hu was on first......
-
HPU refusing to call Ausmus out on strikes.
-
Huh? I thought Hu was on first......
I don't know.
-
Sanchez with the great leaping catch to end the inning and rob Ausmus of an RBI!
-
Sanchez laces the first pitch into left for a single.
-
I don't know.
Third base.
-
Pence singles through the hole in right, runners at first and second for El Caballo.
-
Lee gets under the first pitch and pops it behind third, caught by Hu. One out. Downs up.
-
Troncoso looks like he should be playing the fish for War.
-
Downs bounces to the mound. Trancoso throws to second but not in time, and the throw to first gets Downs. Runners on second and third, so they IBB Wallace.
-
Manzella bounces out to short to end the sixth. Good Guys up, 6-4.
-
Reed Johnson pinchhits and flares a single. Mills pulls Fulchino and brings in Abad.
-
Kemp skies one to left for the first out.
-
Castro is doing a good job of getting his body in front of pitches in the dirt and away. Good to see.
-
Michael Bourn's glove: where triples go to die!!!
-
Another highlight catch by Bourn!
-
Theriot smoked one in front of the 404 sign in LCF that Bourn got to on a dead run, then spun and threw to the cutoff man, who threw to first but not in time to double off the runner. Fantastic catch.
-
Popup in front of the plate ends the top of the seventh.

And he was shading to right field no less...
-
And he was shading to right field no less...
You can't overestimate Michael Bourn's defensive contribution. We're so lucky to see him do this night after night.
-
Ducky Dotel in for the Dodgers.
Castro grounds out to second.
-
Abad whiffs, bringing up SBB with two outs.
-
Bourn with a sharp grounder that a diving Loney comes up with. He flips to Dotel covering the bag and they just beat Bourn, who for some GOD DAMN STUPID FUCKING REASON decides to slide headfirst into.
-
Gibbons grounds out to first. One down.
-
Loney flies out and Lindstrom's coming in.
-
Mitchell grounds out to end the top of the 8th.
-
Sanchez flies out to right to start the bottom of the eighth.
-
Pence whiffs. Two down.
-
Ka-Bonggg!
-
Was thinking this'd be a good time for a KaBong shot into the Crawford Boxes. Guess Carlos thought so as well!
-
Lee with the first pitch liner to the Crawford Boxes and it's 7-4.
-

It would be nice if Downs could reach today.
-
Sadly, Downs strikes out to end the eighth.
-
Sadly, Downs strikes out to end the eighth.
Not his finest hour(s) today. Not really sure I'd bat him 5th again (or in the first place).
-
Boojwah goes to LF, Lyon in to close.
-
Hu fans.
-
Ausmus' last at bat in Houston.
-
Bouncer to the mound. Standing ovation for Brad Ausmus.
-
Good win for the Good Guys today!
-
Bounced bunt to Wallace and that ends it. Good Guys win, 7-4!
-
Ausmus Ks. Surely BudGirl is at the game.
Why yes, I was. It was a sad moment for me. Rather amusing that the women around me were also cheering for him.
-
I'm glad you went. I hope you enjoyed yourself.
