Did you ever doubt they existed?  Do they not sell them in Louisiana?
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing fredia that barbecue fritos didn't exist.  And like that, poof, he's gone.

Yesterday in the 7-11 I saw chipotle-flavored corn nuts.  What the fuck?

No, "what the fuck" was the fire-hot cheetos mac and cheese with grilled Slim Jims on Top Chef Masters last week.

They don't sell them in Waco any more. <Cue Waco jokes in 3, 2, 1...>

But seriously, they've come and gone from various markets over the years. You couldn't find them in Houston for several years a decade or so ago; when we'd go visit my grandparents in Memphis each summer, we'd bring back a few bags.

I'd never watched the Masters version of that show before.  I was shocked how crap it was.  And Padme Lite has nothing on the real thing.

Last year's was reasonably enjoyable I though, especially once they got to the final set of chefs. Last weeks was pretty bad (they changed the format around for the worse, imo).

I didn't watch the first Masters iteration.  Last week's (which I caught last night on DVR) sucked as much as yesterday's game.

I have been consistently underwhelmed by Tafia, but will be interested to see her compete.

Was last year's Top Chef Masters the one that finished with Michael Chiarello, Rick Bayless, and somebody else as the final three? Or was that some other show that I've mixed up?

And Hubert Keller, yep. Really want to make it to Chicago and visit a couple of Bayless's spots.

Years ago, I saw some quick-fire chefs' challenge show on Food Network, and the chefs had to use food found in convenience stores. One guy made a Napoleon using bologna and other items (I think one of them was cream of mushroom soup) and served it on top of Ramen noodles. That was "what the fuck."

That was the QuickFire that inspired this one on Masters.

This reminds me of that Australian fellow who used to show up at one's home unannounced and throw together a gourmet meal out of whatever the hell he found in the refrigerator at the time.  He could be really creative when he had to.

Still, my wife and I used to laugh at that.  Not in our house.

That Australian fellow is the guy who hosted the quick-fire shore I was talking about with the bologna Napoleon.

And bbq Fritos are alive and well in southeast Harris County and central Denton County. I just don't purchase them.

BBQ Fritos absolutely exist up here in Maryland but are a poor, poor substitute for Chili-Cheese Fritos, which rock.

I have bolded the operative words, as Chili Cheese Fritos do, indeed, rock.
