Here's the "source": the (in)famous Kirk Bohls.

I'll take "things pulled out of his ass" for $400, Alex.

FLA will be a playoff contender next year.  They're not dealing Dontrelle unless they get blown away, and that offer would do nothing to blow them anywhere.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

Often wrong, but never in doubt.

"I ran it by Astros general manager Tim Purpura in the dugout before Saturday?s game, and he got a bemused look on his face and said, ?That?d be interesting.?"

Translated:

Purpura: "and where did you hear that rumour, Kirk?"
Bohls: "From the voices in my head."
News that is sufficiently bad somehow carries its own guarantee of truth.  Only good reports need confirmation.

And then, according to Bohls, the Astros would trade Dontrelle to the Tennessee Titans for Vince Young.
blah, blah, blah . . .

This doesn't even rise to the level of something he'd print on paper, it's from his blog.  He prefaces the thing with,

"...here?s an interesting rumor that we?d love to see come true."

then Bohl's erases

"...Don?t expect it to come off, however, because Willis isn?t making that much money and is a franchise player along with third baseman Miguel Cabrera on the Marlins. Why would you possibly give up on him."

Then completely discounts the "rumor" to such an extent that it should never have seen the pecking of his keyboard,

"Of course, if the Marlins were interested in pulling off
such a trade, they?d probably insist on Double-A outfield sensation Hunter Pence and Triple-A ace Jason Hirsch."

Damn right, "of course", where'd the other trade "rumor" even come from?   Bohl is squarely standing in the same lame ditch where Pinwheel abides, here's a pivotal sentence in one of the locals recent columns, "A friend challenged me the other day about the lack of moves last winter".  "A friend" asked Pinwheel for his opinion and does he refrain from giving it?  Not for a second.  Even when it's something as provocative as that the Astros need to, sit down for this one, make a trade.  NO!? Really?  In his blog Pinwheel does his own erasing by allowing as how the Astros would likely lose Hirsch and Pence in any such trade.  Wow.  I'd never thought of the implications of making a trade.  Could we stand for that?  Sound like a coincidence to anyone else?

Both these clowns are arguing in a full circle as if someone has nailed their foot to the floor.  Is it surprising that, in the end, neither says nothing?

This is exactly the part where Pinhweel breaks in screaming "he stole my move!"

No way he actually said that ... he spent most of December running down Vince and explaining why they would lose the Rose Bowl.  He must have really meant #1 ... err #2 draft choice, Reggie Bush.
