Barnes not in the lineup again tonight.  That's 4 in a row.  Is he hurt?

Weber grill was decent.  Got a decent deep dish pizza at some place with graffiti all over it (looked up the expense report, Gino's East)

Hopefully, Altuve's poor decision on the Wallace flyball won't come back to haunt us.

Not really. Been in Wisconsin a few days, had some incredible pizza in Sheboygan, and fabulous Irish in Plymouth.

He is not so much. I haven't seen anything that would even remotely suggest good enough stuff to almost toss a perfect game.

Jeff Alphabet has electric stuff tonight. That was a great changeup call to Altuve, even though it was up in the strike zone.

Galarraga pitches just good enough to lose, I fear. But he ain't fooling them tonight. The swings and misses that he's gotten have primarily come in hitter's counts when they were swinging for the downs.

Samardzija is crazy good tonight. When he is missing, he's still not making mistakes and is getting incredible movement on his two-seamer. The worst pitch he's thrown was the 3-1 pitch to Wallace, who just missed it.

I have heard Gino's east is the best.

It's my favorite, although I've never tried Malnatti's. The E. Superior location is likely where pots went: it's got decades of graffiti.

And he's completely recovered from that earlier Run of Suck he'd been enjoying this season. Bastard.

He's not so tough. I once saw a guy strike out 20.

He doesn't have the stuff that Wood had pre-surgery. He had the most eletric stuff in my opinion, on a par with Randy Johson and Nolan Ryan. And James Rodney Richard. I can't forget him.

We won't get to see Lopez pitch in a save situation because he's got another night off, not that there would be a save situation tonight, especially the way Samardjiza is tossing.

Barnes saves us from more of Galarraga tonight, and he puts one in the seats for his first big league bomb. 5-1 now.

Indeed. I've seen Astros games at Wrigley too. And you're right, there weren't too many Astros fans in attendance, even back in 2005 when we were really good in the end (save the WS).

Warm old style in the bleachers almost made me quit drinking all together.  If I ever need an intervention, I now know how to proceed.

I was in rehab in Chicago during the summer and early fall of 2005. I had a ball up there, going to Cubs games, White Sox games (including a playoff game against the Angels) and some Black Hawks games.

The Astros seem incapable of playing a sub-3 hour game anymore.  They not only lose often, they lose long.

Must be getting ready for the AL.

What exactly would be 'fabulous Irish'?  A nice carvery with Guinness?  That's the only food I recall being worth much after 2 years in Ireland...
