Headed to eat, then to Wrigley for the game. Hope it isn't rained out....
You eat anything of note yet in chicago? I'm headed there this weekend
Weber grill was decent. Got a decent deep dish pizza at some place with graffiti all over it (looked up the expense report, Gino's East)
Galarraga's starts are hard to watch.
Not really. Been in Wisconsin a few days, had some incredible pizza in Sheboygan, and fabulous Irish in Plymouth.
I have heard Gino's east is the best.
Samardzija is crazy good tonight. When he is missing, he's still not making mistakes and is getting incredible movement on his two-seamer. The worst pitch he's thrown was the 3-1 pitch to Wallace, who just missed it.
He's not so tough. I once saw a guy strike out 20.
Come on, Gonzalez, let's get something started here.
Nice defense from marwin at least.
Well, this viewing experience has been entirely unpalatable thus far.
Barnes not in the lineup again tonight. That's 4 in a row. Is he hurt?
HOMERUN!!! The five Astros fans in attendance all stood and cheered.
Indeed. I've seen Astros games at Wrigley too. And you're right, there weren't too many Astros fans in attendance, even back in 2005 when we were really good in the end (save the WS).
Warm old style in the bleachers almost made me quit drinking all together. If I ever need an intervention, I now know how to proceed.
Well, that was certainly graceful.ETA: And now it's ruled a hit. Ridiculous.
The Astros seem incapable of playing a sub-3 hour game anymore. They not only lose often, they lose long.Must be getting ready for the AL.
It's a consequence of allowing two or three runners every inning.
I've never had fabulous Irish, and I lived there briefly so id love to try it. Deep dish has never been my bag, but I never bothered trying it in the deep dish Mecca of Chicago.
