Tonight's Game (Tues)
« on: October 17, 2017, 08:39:47 am »
I will be in Section 231 wearing my Astros holiday sweater and winter cap.  If anyone else is at Yankee Stadium tonight feel free to come on by and have a beer (or just cheer on the Astros).

Boom!

Bring us back a win, Todd.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.

If you see Biz, see if you can get him thrown out of the yard.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

If I still lived in NY, I would likely be going. Alas.

Didn't make it back to philly until 5 am.  We didn't bring much luck yesterday so the plan is Fritos pie and the comfort of the couch.  If they win tonight, might make the trek tomorrow.

From the positions of CF, RF and C, the Astros are 1 for 39.  That's an average of .026.  They have a combined OPS of .689...that's not their *collective* OPS, that's if you take each of their OPS and add it together.

It's time to root for the law of averages to work....(added later)... in a best of three series w/ two games @ home.
