Bud has been flirting with danger all day, getting out of a one out, runners on 2B and 3B jam in T5.  Middle 5: COL 2, HOU 2.

Damn, perfect 8-6-5 to nail Altuve trying for 3 w/ no outs in T6.  (Altuve broke up the perfecto in T4 with a single, SB, SB, run scored). End 6: COL 2, HOU 2

They're clapping for Paredes, but that ball was hit so hard and right at him that Young had no way to advance.

He's thinking the ump took the bat right out of his hands with the previous strike call.

Yeah, but he's a good enough hitter to not let it make him take that swing.

yeah, but after that second strike call, he has to protect that pitch low and away...and it's hard to see that slider some times.

Bud avoided trouble again in T7 with 2 on and none out to hold 'em scoreless.  He's pitched into the low 100's.

Pena began B7 by crushing one to RF, just foul though. Crowe grounded out to follow, and Paredes singled through the middle.  Dominguez popped up to end the inning.

End 7: COL 2, HOU 2

Marwin drops one into no-man's land in shallow left for a ground rule double into jackass cove(?) (*I can't remember which is which - is jackass cove the one down LF?!? What is the one down the RF line referred to again?!?).

In any event... Pitching change coming up (Rex Brothers in for COL) to face Grossman with none out, runner on 2B in B8.

Grossman couldn't get the bunt down, but walked. Altuve hit it on the screws to 2B which ended up 4-6-3 DP (as opposed to an RBI had Grossman laid down the bunt.

On the 1-0 pitch Marwin had a HUGE lead off 3B (almost equal to the pitchers mound down the line).

Castro walks, giving HOU runners at the corners with 2 outs B8.  JD Martinez (0-3, 3Ks) coming to the dish.  COL meeting at the mound.

Blackley gets EY Jr. to strike out swinging to begin T11. Fowler popped out to Pena in foul ground for out 2.  CarGo comes back from 0-2 count to single on a line to LF. T11, 2 outs. Tulo at the dish.

We've had the 'clueless' version of JDM at the dish today.  I think there was little doubt the platinum sombrero was his...  Pena up with 2 outs and Castro at 1B in B11.

How the hell'd you do that, anyway?

I dropped a piece of sheet metal on my leg, I thought it was secure but it wasn't. I was wearing shorts and sandals when I should have been wearing jeans and boots.

I hope you were at least wearing protective eye wear.

Let's hope Bo keeps running Grossman out there everyday. One appearance a week is about right for Barnes. Also very important for Crowe to get his ABs

Not gonna happen. Grossman sent down.

Any chance Springer gets promoted? 2 more HR's today...  Maxwell could take his place on rehab in AA.  The only other real option is Wates...

Could be Krauss I suppose.  Crowe's recent play in center probably made it easier.

His bat doesn't make it easy though.

Barnes drove on deep into RF corner just beyond Cuddyers outstretched glove for THE WALK OFF WIN!!!

Final (12): COL 2, HOU 3

Remind me again, what's a walk off win?

Not quite sure what he showed at OKC that made them think he was ready to return.

It's odd. Don't they have a number of long men already?  Maybe someone is missing a start?
