Looks like a big improvement over the 2014 opening day lineup - significant upgrades at first, short, third, left and right. The only downgrade is in center and I'm not sure that the magnitude is that great. Also they have upgraded the bullpen and maybe the bench as well.

Offensively maybe. Defensively no.
-
FYB threw out the first pitch in
North Houston Milwaukee.
Then they gave up 10 runs.
-
What's the over/under on Chris Carter errors tonight?

For some reason it was only when I saw your username that I realized everyone's name is now in all caps. CHUCK just looks weird.
-

Right. Upgrade on defense and on the bases.
-
Go Astros! Indians have some pretty good players this year.
-
Enjoyed the historical tribute narrated by the Toy Cannon.
-
The Angel of Death has 1B tonight.
-
Keuchel gets them in order on three infield groundballs.
-
Glen Hubbard reincarnated.

Wasn't the second out a fly to right?
-
Wasn't the second out a fly to right?
I stand corrected.
-
Wasn't the second out a fly to right?
Left, actually.
-
Keuchel strikes out the side. Cleveland's primarily lefty batting order leaves them exposed to portsiders.
-
I think Valbuena will be ok at third.
-
I think Valbuena will be ok at third.
I agree. He's definitely an upgrade over Dominguez.
-
This Kluber guy is pretty good.
-
This Kluber guy is pretty good.
Keuchel is not too shabby either.
-
This Kluber guy is pretty good.
Isn't he throwing a no hitter or something?
-
That was a good at-bat by Lowrie. Good guys can't find the gaps.
-
Nice play for the third out.
-
I really hate to jinx it, but the Cleveland pitcher hasn't given up a hit yet.
-
Good work, gentlemen.
-

Gold.
-
A good RBI hit by Springer, followed up by some dopey baserunning.
-
Dominguez would've had him.

It's OD, I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say he was trying to draw the cut to score the run.

That's a long throw from Frenso.

That's a long throw from Frenso.
Very nice.
-
Nice fielding by the Gold Glover tonight.

Ok fine.

Houston Astros @astros 8 minutes ago
Tonight's attendance is 43,753, a sellout and the 6th largest crowd in #MMP history.
And the largest since opening day, 2010.
-
No way that Keuchel can make it without an out-pitch
-
Hit the ball pretty solidly in the bottom of the 7th. No luck though, onto the 8th
-
- Sipp comes back down 2-0 to get Ramirez swinging
- Agent Bourn down half swinging, 2 away
- Fly ball to left, 3 down
Mid 8th, Good guys up 1-0
-
You know, with all this hoopla about the 50th anniversary of the Astrodome and all...they should've scheduled a game there as a tribute. SRO, of course.
-
Another hard hit ball to start the bottom of the 8th 1 out
Kluber looking for the complete game loss
Lowrie is having none of it though 6 pitch walk
Rasmus base hit, runners at the corners
Kluber gone (They were tagging him for 8 consecutive batters)
Marisnick with a sac fly 2-0 Good guys
Altuve gounds out. Onto the ninth. And our new closer gets tested early
-
Marisnick SAC fly. 2-0 Astros.
-
- Brantley grounds out on a 0-1 , 1 down
- Altuve makes a grounder interesting but finishes 2 down
- Gomes strikes out swinging on an 0-2 Astros win!
Now that is closing. Up by 2 and threw 0 balls
-
Woohoo!
-
Verrah, verrah nice!
-
AJ Hinch > Kevin Cash
-
First place!
-
I love it when the Astros win baseball games.
-
That was a fun game. I hate that there's an off day tomorrow.

Yeah, what the hell is that about? There's no danger of Opening Day being rained out in a roofed stadium.
-
Hinch is the first Astros' manager that I enjoy listening to speak since Gar.
-
That's a long throw from Frenso.
Midseason form right here.
-
Just checked the box. 13:1 GO:AO ratio for Keuchel. Not bad.

I don't think there was a single ball hit to Marisnick all night.
-
But Rasmus made a nice catch in left.

But Rasmus made a nice catch in left.
That was nice. I'm excited to watch that outfield.
As for the infield, well, Valbuena had that awesome diving stop of Gomes' ball down the line. Heck of a play that would've turned a double into an out, with a typical catcher running.
-
Fantastic what's going on in Oakland, unless you're a Rainjizz fan.
Which of course makes it doubly fantastic.

Well a 1-hitter is almost as satisfying. Lose 8-zip.

Getting one hit and drummed on Opening Day??? I like it a lot!
-
A six pitch save! That's how to close it out!
