Do you think Mike Fiers and Bailey discuss the merits of forearm iconography in the clubhouse?

Yordan is something else. Amazing.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

Chapman is a slick defender.

It looked like that ball took a little bit of a bad hop at the end and he wound up grabbing it more between the thumb and forefinger, and he still made a good throw.

Chapman is a stud. It's also pretty amazing how much Semien has improved defensively. An up the middle defense including he and Profar should by all rights be really, really bad. The A's are a terrific little bunch of ingenious bastards. God help us if they ever move and have money.

Profar is a definite weak link. I watched several of the Twins-A's games last week, and his throws to 1st are a consistent adventure.

I’m guessing that when the Dodgers spent all those millions on the Cuban pipeline, this is what they were hoping for.
Another trenchant comment by a jealous lesser intellect.

If I understand correctly what Robert Ford just said, Mets GM Brody Van Waginen (sp?) married Neil Armstrong's step-daughter. And I thought I had it rough with my father-in-law!

Luv it!
A's announcers as they watch a replay of Alvarez HR:
Quote
Well, THIS is our first look at him - THUMP!!! - and he LAUNCHES it here!
1-0 Astros!
That is a full out swing….

….I don’t know that the Astros lineup needed another bat like that….

So Yordan's been up a couple of times and has a homer and seven rbi. Cole has 15 ks. I was wondering about anything newsworthy or surprising.

Is Altuve hurt? Or is he just getting some rest during a lopsided game?
He breezed him, one more time!

A few times in blowouts

I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

Martini (LF) pitched the 8th for the A's - pitching in the 60's.
Astros don't punish him.
Remember White throwing 60 38 pitches in 0.2 innings of relief, while giving up a couple HR?
Pirates on 26 June (12-1)
