Astros 3 W: <\/strong>Maholm (4-5) | L:<\/strong> Backe (4-7) | S:<\/strong> Capps (13)<\/p>\n Alyson<\/a> Right up front, I didn’t see but about 5 minutes of this game. The 5 minutes I saw though, were the deciding moments of the contest. Backe, who had been cruising since a shaky, 3-run\u00a01st, gave up a deep fly ball to center to\u00a0Jason Bay with the game tied, a man on first and 2 out in the 5th.<\/p>\n Backing up, Cheito had what seemed like a bead on the ball as it carried to the warning track but as the ball met the glove, Cruz met the wall and the two went separate ways. The RBI triple was the game-winner that sealed a sloppy 2-7 road trip for the hometown nine.<\/p>\n The fire that this team played most of April and May with seems to have been snuffed. 21 runs in their last 9 games, with 8 of those coming in the first game with the Jakes. It has been a tough stretch on the road\u00a0and they’re home for\u00a09 now, but will it get any easier?
