Padres v. Coards

Does anyone else think the Pads can give STL a tough time in a short series?  With Peavy going game 1, Carpenter struggling and San Diego coming in loose with nothing to prove... I think the Padres can make a series out of it.
The quality of my life would be greatly reduced if I did not have nostrils.

No? in Austin

Even with Carpenter struggling down the stretch and the loss of their top middle reliever Reyes, it will take more than what the Padres have to top the Cards.

Think about it - Padres barely finished the season above 500 playing the lion's share of their games against the Rockies, DBacks, Dodgers, and Giants - all weak teams this year.

I say Cards in 4.  Heck, the Padres may even be swept.
