Baker had said that the only thing his team was scrapping and playing hard for was a .500 record.

Well, you can kiss that goodbye.  Best they can do now is 2 games under.  

Soooooooo..........

Does that mean the regulars will play tomorrow?  How long will Maddux go?

Interesting question.  Granted most cub fans are pieces of shit either because they are bandwaggoners or lovable loser mentality.  Some cub players are pieces of shit (Barrett), some are not (Lee).  Dusty Baker is a piece of shit (for reasons other than playing to be a spoiler).  The question becomes: Will a manager who is NOT a piece of shit convert the cub fans/players or will they convert him?  I lean toward thinking the fans would convert the manager.
