Been getting the work cafeteria chili and mixing in a half-bag of fritos. Hopefully it counts with the BBGs.

Went to Lazy Oaks Beer Garden for dinner and got Frito Pie there too. Not taking any chances.

I am wearing my orange Correa jersey. It's a little too big for me so I cut off the sleeves. It's pretty hideous. I've only ever worn it for Game 7 of the 2017 World Series.

I'm eating Frito pie right now. But this particular take on the classic has no Frito or chili but lots of cheese and chiles and corn crackers.

Of course it worked.

Point of order. Frito pie must have chili and Fritos.

Lisa Fain who wrote the Homesick Texan cookbook posted her recipe for one-hour Frito pie on Facebook Wednesday, with the note that a friend believed that eating Frito pie before Astros games brought them luck. It was very cool.

I love that book. The seven pepper chili, the mexican potatoes, king ranch chicken casserole, and cheese enchiladas are staples in our house.

My version of non-chili non-frito pie was 1 can of HEB borracho beans with Shiner, 1 can Ranch Style black beans, 1 small thing of HEB hot pico, a little garlic and lime.  Served with tortilla chips and cheese.
You may ask yourself, "How do I work this?"

This is like saying "my version of frito pie is to take some potatoes, boil them, then mash them up with some cream, butter, salt and pepper".  Best frito pie.  Ever.

Since were doing substitute diner stuff I'll replace the green olives with bell pepper. Obviously green bell peppers though.

Pretty sure DoubleDaves makes a frito pie pizza as one of their monthly specials. I've had their chili dog pizza (used to be the July pizza but wasn't this year) and it is vile and delicious.

I had a Frito pie chili cheese dog at Minute Maid last night. I am claiming credit for the win.

If I am not mistaken, It was here, in the TZ, where it was discovered that the consumption if Frito Pie may help the BBGs to look favorably upon the Astros. Am I to now understand that this knowledge has made its way into GenPop? What are the short and long term implications of sacred TZ knowledge being out in the "wild"?

I made mine at home with the Wick Fowler mix and added some beans for my conscious. Mighty tasty and the fritos made it a balanced meal.

Of all the things you clowns have released into the public, this should be the least of your concerns.
