Substitute Uncle Mike for Handsome Jake in that order and you probably have the LDS starting nine.

I would guess at #3 but he could slide in at #6 with Reddick dropping to second leadoff at #9 in either case.

The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Starting to rain in Anaheim...

That phrase isn't used very often.

Doesn’t this little Fletcher twit know that JV is trying to get 300/3000 strikeouts, how dare he put that ball in play! I mean, do the Rangers and their fans really think this way? I hope the record books have an asterisk next to Minor’s 200 k. What a farce.

Verlander reaches #3,000!

Unfortunately, it was also a wild pitch, and the runner reaches base.

Well shit.

Do the Astros not want to score any runs today?

B4:

Pujols flies out F8 at the wall in deep CF on the first pitch
Calhoun strikes out swinging, ball gets by Chirinos and Calhoun reaches 1B on a wild pitch....

That's #3,000 for Verlander!

Simmons homers to LF on a pitch in his eyes, Calhoun scores
Smith with a bloop single to RF
Walsh...0-2...1-2...2-2...strikes out swinging
Ward strikes out swinging

But 3-0 Angels
