OK, fuck this...need a win tonight, boys.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

And yet he didn't. There's nobody that terrifies me more than Simmons in a critical situation.

Simmons grounds to SS, shift on so Altuve has to field it on his backhand...throw gets by Yuli, bounces off the dugout rail...infield shiftfuck single

Because who doesn't want a guy with an .343 OPS in the middle of their lineup in October?

We have 2, TWO! hits. And one was really Pujols’ error. And 17 LOB yesterday.  This team won’t beat A’s or Rays if they don’t hit, no matter how good the pitching might be.

We have 2, TWO! hits. And one was really Pujols’ error. And 17 LOB yesterday.  This team won’t beat A’s or Rays if they don’t hit, no matter how good the pitching might be.

A couple of at ems have resulted in outs

Because who doesn't want a guy with an .343 OPS in the middle of their lineup in October?

Because he's getting it out of his system.

This whole team is having senioritis right now. They'll be back in October.

Garcia in for the Angels

Tucker lines one up the middle, it knocks Garcia's glove off, Simmons fields it for the old 1-6-3
Mayfield chops one to 2B, no one there...shiftfuck single goes the Astros way
Springer walks, Mayfield to 2B
Altuve...full count...takes a hanging curve right down the center of the plate for strike three
Brantley homers to CF, Mayfield scores, Springer scores
Bregman flies out F9

But the Astros lead 4-0

So Brandon Backe threw the 55th Immaculate Inning in baseball history in 2004.  Harris's tonight was the 100th.  So almost half of all of them in history have been in the last 15 years.

How many more Ks would strikeout artists of prior eras (Ryan,  Richard,  the Big Unit) have had in the true outcomes age?

Get this: Astros' last three wins have been shutouts & they haven't allowed a runner reach 3B in any of them. Angels didn't have a runner reach 2B tonight.

We did the Canadian Rockies early summer IIRC.  Flew into Vancouver to catch it and tacked a couple of days at the end of our trip in Banff. Drove to Calgary to catch a flight home. I recommend it for those that can enjoy being in a comfortable seat and looking out the window for hours at a time. You can go out to the rear of the car, which I did often, and get some air and less obstructed views. The food on the train is very good, too. We paid extra to sit in a dining car for the meals which really is just lunch and something light for breakfast. By dinner we were off of the train and in a town where we were put up in lodging.
