Man that was lightning quick.

The game started two hours ago and it's top of the ninth.

Damn. If anyone could have gotten that ball would have been Jake.

Bottom 9

Murphy gets ahead 2-0, misses a change 2-1, fouls a fastball 2-2, grounds out to Altuve in the shift 4-3
Nola (replaced injured Gordon) misses a curve 0-1, takes a FB outside 1-1, misses another 1-2, takes a curve just outside 2-2, takes a change in the dirt 3-2, singles to center.
Jake dove but it was a couple of feet beyond him.

Gave it all he had. Just wasn’t hit very hard.

Regardless of what happens, it was a masterful pitching performance.

I'd like to see the Statcast report on how much ground he covered.  That ball looked like it wouldn't land within 10 feet of anyone.

Grienke settles back in.

Lopes takes a ball then misses a FB, misses another 1-2, change is called a ball but he really just missed the spot,  then singled to right.

AJ comes to get Grienke.
