Brewers clinch a spot of some sort. Congrats to them; I had written them off 2 weeks ago, but they've been en fuego.
I remember all the good times me 'n Miller enjoyed
Up and down the M1 in some luminous yo-yo toy
But the future has to change - and to change I've got to destroy
Oh look out Lennon here I come - land ahoy-hoy-hoy

Even after Yelich went down.

Impressive.

And I believe that eliminates FTC and the steM from playoff contention.

Indeed it does. Poor little Cubbies.

Finished w/ 100-pitches in 6 innings, 1 hit, 2 BB, 9 K;s and a 3-0 lead..
Rays still batting in 7th w/ 2 on and the 3rd run having scored.

Rays won, so the MN to have home field over the Yankers is 2.  Over the Dojers, currently beating the Pads narrowly,  it’s 3.

Astros win
Dodgers win (magic number 2)
Yankees lose (magic number 1)

Hinch is sitting a lot of guys tomorrow so we'll see what happens.

Do these magic numbers account for the Astros holding the tiebreakers?

Milwaukee wins again. St Louis has the day off, so Milwaukee is 1 game out going into the weekend. Milwaukee goes to Colorado for the weekend, while St Louis hosts the Cubs and their 8-game losing streak. Perhaps they'll show a little pride and make things difficult for St Louis.

ETA: At this point, it's looking like that will be a 9-game losing streak come tomorrow.

Heard where?

Edited to add: ah, I see it there on the main Astros site.

If that's the case, I can't imagine relying on him for the postseason either.

ALDS as his rehab starts? I don't think so.

If he can feel his legs he'll play.

I hate seeing Correa being hurt so much. He has such promising abilities but it looks more and more that his body might not allow him to reach his full potential.

Agreed. Huge difference on defense.

In non-contender action yesterday,  a couple of interesting things.

First,  bush league garbage between the Sawks and Arlington:

Second,  very emotional moment in Seattle as King Felix left the mound for the last time.  Well done:

The Rangers deserve to finish last in the division, if only they would.

CB Bucknor's called third strike makes for the trifecta of pettiness.
