Tri-City 2019
« on: June 15, 2019, 04:10:49 pm »
There is no Tri-City 2019 header, so I thought I would use 2018.    I see that  Joe Perez is back-hopefully he can have an injury free season.

Any chance we could get it named properly?  It is Tri-City (with a hyphen) - not Tri Cities.

Keep an eye on Valente Bellozo - 19 Year old RHP from Mexico jumped from DSL last year to NYPL this year.  Through 1st 4 outings (17 1/3 IP) he has a 1.04 ERA with 20 Ks, 6 hits, 6 walks - a 0.69 whip.  He is over 2 years younger than league average age.

He is pitching tonight in the first game of the Midwest League Western  Division Semi-final series against the Cedar Rapids Kernels.  Through four innings he has shown excellent command of a FB at 92-93,  against a changeup at 74 and a very few curves at 84.   One of his fastballs got squared up for a home run but otherwise he’s been excellent.

Who is "he"?  Bellozo?
You may ask yourself, "How do I work this?"
