I'll just take this opportunity to point out that the Texans this week signed center Nick Martin to an extension placing him among the top three paid at the position league wide.

Last year, PFF graded him fifth. Fifth in the league?! No. Fifth in the division. A division of four teams.
Texans let Ben Jones walk a few years ago, only to draft his lesser replacement in the 2nd? round and then pay him more.
You may ask yourself, "How do I work this?"

Don’t forget Pro Bowler Brandon Brooks.

These are the GOOD players they let walk for no reason. We’re not even discussing the terrible picks they’ve made on OL over the last five years or so.

Brown and Brooks left solely because they hated O'Brien.

More outstanding clock management by BOB (and Watson, for that matter) at the end of the half.

I know this is saying something, but that may be BoB's most WTF "use" of timeouts yet.

O’Brien needs to fire his offensive coordinator.  Eh?  Oh.

Why does the NFL bother giving BOB timeouts.  He can’t be trusted with them.

Well, they didn't lose. They tried, but even failed at that. Good to see the running game is not terrible this year.
It's my estimation that every man ever got a statue made of 'em was one kinda sombitch or another.

I'm not completely convinced he understands what timeouts are used for.

They "had 2 plays".  Who needs timeouts in between them?

WTF, Watson? That's about as bone-headed a play as I've seen in a long time.

This Chargers team is there for the taking.  It’s a shame that the customary bed-shitting in the 3rd quarter will put this one beyond reach.

Bed shitting throughout, not just the 3rd quarter.

This team mirrors BOB: flashes of decency, but ultimately stupid and undisciplined under stress.  Mediocrity is their ceiling.

Unfortunately, that's an apt description of the club's management as well, meaning that there is no reason to ever expect any improvement.

Huge 2nd half gives the Texans the victory. 2-1 after a tough 3-game start.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

It was nice to see.  Hope they build on it.

I thought the DL looked real good and the OL better than expected.
