Correa murdered that ball. It died against the wall above the gas pump.

Chirinos standing on 2B watching the game. Hope it's a good view.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

He didn't advance on the contact play?

Stood there and watched a close play at the plate.

Bloop and a blast. (Dink off the bag and a blast doesn't have the same ring).

It's suddenly 3-2.

I don’t even recognize him right now.

I haven’t seen an Astro out by that much at second since Biggio’s 3000th.

The ball arrived in the picture before Bregman did.

Hate to see Altuve so off. Now he's throwing his helmet after wiffing.

Harris gets one out, then gives up back to back singles, a ground out to short, then walks the bases loaded with 2 outs. Rondon in.

All 3 outs were on fantastic throws.

Harris,  Correa,  and Altuve.

Altuve has been here before but it’s easy to forget once he hits a hot spell. He’ll come around.

I wonder if all the turmoil in Venezuela might be on his mind.  It's just hard to explain.

Has he been HERE before??I know he’s been in slumps but he’s putting up numbers right now that he didn’t even put up in his rookie season.

Let me state that I FULLY expect Jose to pull out of this. He’s too great a hitter not to. As such I’m not too worried as long as the team continues to win. Still, the numbers are interesting. His batting average right now is over 30 points below what his batting average was in his rookie season. His strikeouts are also up slightly. His career K rate is a shade over 12% and so far this season he is a tick over 19%. He’s hit into some bad luck and he’s chasing bad pitches which we have seen before. Personally, I think he’s pressing because he’s in perhaps the worst funk of his career. I know some have speculated about his health, but if you saw the two plays he made last night in the field, it is pretty obvious he is healthy. You don’t make those two plays if you are hurting, especially if it was the knee again.

I think he’s fine. Just stressed the hell out! Hopefully he starts to snap out of it tonight.

He’s been in a funk for about 10/35 games this season. Yes, it looks bad right now but I’m positive he’s had stretches like this in the past. I’m not worried even a little bit.

Jose had an 0-16 stretch last season, which is far worse than anything that's happened this year so far.

I'm choosing to look on the bright side: I figure that when the season is done, he'll be somewhere between .310 and .320, and he'll be close to 200 hits. Which means that sometime between now and then we're going to be treated to an MVP-caliber streak.
