Confirms what my impression of him has been thus far:  even keel, professional.

As one who has watched him from the beginning, I was so excited to have Brantley join the Astros. He's the ultimate cool, calm, professional hitter. But it's his cool demeanor that made him a leader in the Tribe clubhouse.

Over the years, it has been rare that I would read non Astros coverage unless there was some tangential reason to do so. The Athletic coverage is so good, I find myself branching out quite a bit and it’s enhancing my enjoyment of the game.

The writing is just great. Good example is Stark’s “totally useless info” series. This weeks version has a hilarious interview with Erik Kratz after he caught all 18 innings of a game last week.
