Has there been a report on what is wrong with McHugh?

Recurrence of right elbow soreness

I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

Yuli a late scratch from the game today, discomforted by a left elbow contusion from the HBP yesterday

He, along w/ three others on IL, did not make the road trip....

WTF do the last few posts mean? Sandy Koufax also did not pitch.

I think having to play hard until the end is a good thing. Teams that can coast in have a hard time turning on again.

Agreed.  Rather have to stay sharp.  It wasn't that long ago they send unbeatable and the BBGs showed everyone.

Pressly's return looks good, he's playing catch and should hopefully be back by the end of the month.

Sanchez has not begun to throw a baseball yet.

Correa has not begun to swing a bat yet.

James was activated today.

This is a thread about injured players and their recovery.

Hinch said today on MLB radio that Sanchez is still shut down, is getting more evaluations, and he is concerned that Sanchez will not be ready for the post-season.  He said that they will know more when they get back to Houston.

That is more candor than we usually get with injury updates.

Wonder what the outlook for McHugh is.

For those keeping track, Correa is swinging the bat and taking ground balls in the field according to Luhnow. No ETA

I hope he is hitting them over the tracks. I also hope he gets this fixed in the offseason. Yoga did not work.

Lumbar discectomy, I assume.  Several MLB position players have had the proceedure with varying results upon return, but I can't think of one as young as Correa, Neil Walker was 30, that's as close as I get.
