This is going to be a great game.  I'm really looking forward to it!  Some people on the playoff roster bubble will be looking to make a good impression.
Another trenchant comment by a jealous lesser intellect.

Stros down 2-0 in B1 after Devo gives up the longball after earlier walking a guy.

Some guy with a 1.67 WHIP has retired the first 6 Astros' hitters, including 4 by punchout.

BJs still up 2-0 heading to B2.

Devo not so bad in B2 sitting/setting down the side in order.

On to T3 with H-Town still down 2-0.

So, the Blue Jays are currently tossing a no-hitter and the Astros might have a champagne celebration after the game.  That seems really weird to me.

9 up, 9 down. Score still 2-0.

The offensive highlight thus far has been Myles Straw nearly beating out a GB to second base.

I know the Astros are running out their AAA team and they likely pulled an all-nighter , but this dude for the Jays is dealing so far.

Cionel Perez on for B3...

Sharp line drive out, BB, GIDP.

Onwards to T4...still trailing by 2 runs and looking for even a modicum of offense.

Pitching change for the Jays with 1 out in T4...

Jake led off with a walk, swiped 2nd base, moved to 3rd on Kemp's FB to right and scored on a dribbler by Correa that went for a base hit.

Yuli then pops out and The Shark flies out to LF.

Good guys down 2-1 heading to B4.

Straw gets his 1st mlb hit on a comebacker, after almost beating out a ground ball to 2B his 1st time up today.

His wheels just got Jake a base hit on what would have been a FC at 2nd on 99% of players.

A walk and a couple of infield hits load the bases with 2 out in T5. Kemp up.

Vandy guy whiffs. Still down 2-1.

(All 3 hits for the Astros so far have been of the infield variety)

Correa whiffs for 2nd time on the day to lead off T6.

Yuli with the oppo single followed by White with the oppo FO. 2 outs.

PItching change as Gibbons really milking this curtain call thing (kidding).

Tucker GO ends frame.

Well at least there was a non-infield hit. To B6 with the score 3-1.

McCullers!

1st pitch is 94 MPH fastball that's waaaaaay inside.

Hook puts down Kevin Millar for first out.

Smoak grounds out to left field.

Popup gets the final out.

Hell yeah!!!

To T7 down 3-1.

Wow, shockingly Myles Straw goes to right to get his first (non-infield) base hit.

Steals 2nd. Two outs.

Jake Ks to end inning. Still on the wrong side of a 3-1 score.

A Guduan sighting.

FO, popup for first two outs of B7. Reymin's precision command results in near-beaning of the BJs catcher before striking him out.

To T8 with the BJs on top 3-1.

K, single and the inning ends with a LD out and doubling off the runner at first to end B8.

Last chance trailing by two.

BJs are a very, very good thing. But not today...

Astros lose 3-1 as they meekly surrender to Giles in the 9th.
