Shoulder, I’ll bet. Not good.

If it's anything worse than just temporary stiffness or something, I imagine that changes the calculus for his retirement decision. It seems unlikely he'd go through the whole surgery-rehab thing just to come back at 36/37, especially when he seems a bit ambivalent about next year already.

He's really just fortunate to be alive after that inning.

Just read in the NYT about Rob Neyer’s new book: Power Ball, which updates Okrent’s Nine Innings using an A’s/Astros game from last September. I’m excited, but Christ I hope it’s not from that surreal sweep in Oakland.

Based on that play, I think Jose and Gattis have similar speed.

There’s a rumor that Altuve will have postseason knee surgery, and tha he’s playing hurt.

I was joking.  He actually was blazing down the line.  I just thought it was funny that the two infield singles almost looked identical.

This wouldn't surprise me at all. I don't think he needs major surgery, but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets the knee scoped and has to take it easy during the off-season.

Hell of a way to close out the homestand.

Twins are doing their part so far, but until they get the 27th out I'll assume Oakland will win.

Hinch acts as if Charlie is still in play, as in another start. Hope it goes well. If he’s not right, wonder how they will approach that void.

McHugh/Peacock/LMJ/Sept Call Up depending on the division race.

And I'm just spreading random rumors that I heard from random friends at the Avalon Grill.  Take it for what it's worth.

My best friend’s sister’s cousin’s girlfriend heard from her brother that he passed out at Baskin Robbins last night.

I guess it’s pretty serious.
