No Springer tonight
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

How so?  It was a down the middle fastball that Altuve jumped all over.

Something didn't look natural about that hit.

That was a fastball down the middle that was 1) swung on and  2) barreled up by 3) an Astros hitter.

I think that last part may have led to your observation.

I was just about to say that these walks are going to burn Framber, then he induces an inning- ending dp.

He still needs to stop with the free passes.

From what I have read about him, he is the opposite of terrified.

Framber for 5 then Josh James.

Yeah, his first outing, seemed like he did well against a lefty dominated lineup. Much more curve heavy that night, iirc

Bregman seems to be the only guy flummoxed by Zimmerman.  Hasn't had a good swing yet.

False dichotomy.  One doesn't need pinpoint control to pitch scared.  He just looks that way to me.  You guys say I'm crazy.  I can live with that.

Walk extends the inning,  then the bad hop, then he falls behind 3-0.

Command issues.

In other news who would have dreamed that sentence could have been typed on this forum without sarcasm 6 months ago? I’m happy for White.

Bregman hit by pitch
Gurriel hit by pitch, Bregman to 2B
Marwin...trying to bunt, but whiffs to make it 1-2..lines out hard to LF
Passed ball...Bregman to 3B, Gurriel to 2B
Correa intentionally walked to load the bases

Coleman out, Stumpf in

Reddick pops out to shallow RF, runners hold

Stumpf out, Alcantara in

White...full count...grounds to 3B...Candelario kicks it...runs it down and throws to 1B.  White ruled safe at 1B, but being challenged and he was out by a step and a half, wasn't really close

Wow.  It's expensive to drink in Australia.  I don't know how you guys drink so much and manage to keep a roof over your heads.

What you don't know is that it is only people who drink and smoke that ever get sick.  People who don't drink and smoke live forever in perfect health.  That's why drinkers and smokers get taxed so much to pay for the health system.

T8:

McCann strikes out swinging
Marisnick...3-2...lines one off of Candelaria's glove...he finds it, picks it up and throws out Marisnick 5-3
Altuve lines out to SS on the first pitch

5-4 Astros

Hit so hard it wouldn't stay in the guy's glove. I wonder how his hand feels.

That probably ends Bregman's consecutive on-base streak.

A's have a pretty weak schedule from here on out...you have to assume they're going to win out, so the Astros just need to win.
