Couple of Astros pitching articles:
« on: May 25, 2018, 12:22:51 pm »
I really like this comment about the value of analytics:  It will be interesting to see how long the Astros can hang onto their value-extracting competitive advantage. They’ve already created tens of millions of surplus dollars in added performance value and won a World Series title.

This was funny:  It’s like the Astros were a dumb thought experiment somebody came up with after too many edibles. “What if Stephen Strasburg were a robot and could pitch every inning, man? That’d freak people OUT.”

Another trenchant comment by a jealous lesser intellect.

Great articles both, but the Brisbee one is more fun.  I really enjoy his writing.
