Brett Gardner couldn’t even comprehend how that pitch broke so much that it ended up squarely over the plate.

Blummer essentially said Gardner is a douche for arguing that one.

I say he's was a douche way before that.

Was Carlos moving on contact or was that simply a bad base running decision? I couldn’t tell.

Torres hits a flare over 2B, snagged by Altuve
Romine lines a single past first for the Yankees first hit
Gardner takes a strike,  steps out,  misses another,  preens around,  then misses a FB and slinks back to the dugout
Didi takes a backdoor curve for a strike,  misses another,  takes FB low/outside, barely fouls a curve,  takes a curve outside,  another low to get full, finally pops an outside curve softly over 2B, this time Correa makes the catch

I figure by now that kid could pour her own orange juice. It's like Minute Maid is stunting her mental development. It has been a couple years on and she hasn't progressed at all. Still drawing the same dumb pictures.

Morton is just one more man on this team.  I blame Verlander fur those guys becoming men.  I like it a lot.  Best trade ever!

Correa needs to work on his baserunning.

This happens sometimes when you run on contact.

ETA: The game had playoff intensity—great ballgame.

2 run lead felt great until they got a runner on and the meat of their order coming up.

Wouldn't it be unusual to be running on contact with runners on 2nd and 3rd, no outs, and the infield in?

Wouldn't it be unusual to be running on contact with runners on 2nd and 3rd, no outs, and the infield in?

No. Infield in is one spot to run on contact. Springer scored on it in the 1st.

Depends on how important the mgr. thinks the run is and whether he will gamble on another hit or a sac fly.

Often wrong, but never in doubt.
