Can someone smart help me here - ALCS/WS viewing
« on: March 11, 2018, 03:04:43 pm »
Earlier in the winter, I had just used my mlb.tv app (on the Apple TV) to re-watch the playoff games. But once Spring Training started, the calendar flipped to February 2018, and if you go in and select 2017 it lists all games starting in March 2017. It takes forever to load a new batch of dates as you scroll down; basically it's terrible and I haven't been able to get to the October part of the schedule without it crashing.

Has anyone else tried to watch recently via mlb.tv/apple tv? I know the games are available on Youtube, but I'm hoping to be able to watch on the actual TV, without having to do screen mirroring (which never works that well) from a laptop.

Recently?  I could not get to many of the Boston games and some of the NY games previously.

So I just tried, and I can watch any game from last year, *except* the postseason.  For some reason, those tell me I need to be a MLB.TV subscriber.  Which I am.

Back in January I watched the whole post season on Youtube.

I watched it all on my MLB app through the end of Feb.  Not sure why it's locked out now.

Boston games are there.

Is there not a YouTube app for Apple TV? I know my Roku has one.

The YouTube app for Amazon Fire recently disappeared, so it might not be available for Apple TV either.

Unless it was removed it does.

Could be, I’ve never looked for it. I’ll check tonight, thanks.

Thanks for this.  I found a couple more thanks to your suggestion.

What is NYA?  And, what would you search for for Boston and LA?

New York American. And search BOS and LAD or LAN.

This worked perfectly. Thanks! The YouTube app was further down the menu screen, where I rarely looked.

Outstanding.  That needs to be stickied in the gamezone section for easy reference.  Can't tell you how many time I've watched some of those games.  Others, I'm not sure I've ever seen twice.
You may ask yourself, "How do I work this?"
