Sportsmen of the Year
« on: December 05, 2017, 02:07:38 pm »
I haven't read the J.J. Watt portion yet, but the Altuve article is pretty good.

As we were going into the playoffs, the most prescient thing I read was a quip by some pudnit that America would fall in love with Jose Altuve.  Surely did.

ETA:  Joe Posnanski was the pudnit.  http://m.mlb.com/news/article/259458614/world-series-coming-out-party-for-jose-altuve/

JJ was on the Tonight Show last night and all they talked about was Jose.
Everyone's talking, few of them know
The rest are pretending, they put on a show
And if there's a message I guess this is it
Truth isn't easy, the easy part's shit

Nice award and good interview.

JJ tweeted a pic of that letter; it was hand written.

Awesome. Houston is lucky to have these two great fellas representing the city.
