I got a score early in the piece when it was 5 – 0, I was surprised the next time I checked it was all over and the good guys won… thought it would go a lot longer than it did.
Not sure if I should feel a bit peeved when after all, this season I –
Saw nearly all of the 162 regular season game,
Saw all 4 ALDS series games,
Saw all 7 of the ALCS games,
Saw 6 WS games,
Got up at 1, 2 & 4 am to watch games, and
Got told to fuck off a couple of times by Jim.
So I had a fair bit invested but didn’t get to see our finest hour.
Still, who gives a fuck I will enjoy the shit out of it when I get a chance to watch it on Saturday.  A couple of days ago I was certain I would get a Yuli jersey, after I watch game 7, I guess that could change to Morton?  I jumped to the end of the GZ but looking forward to checking out all of insanity when I finally watch the game.  If I could plan the prefect end to the season, beating the red sox and goddamn yankees on the way to a WS victory is exactly how I would script it.
I hope everyone enjoys the afterglow, I expect that will last for a while.  I have had a really long day and feel really tired but wired at the same time, just like you guys I expect?

Wow, I do not remember my part of that. I am so glad you are here!

Yeah, who can tell, a lot of people were yelling stuff…  I am just glad we are not saying ‘well, there is always next year’ once again.  I probably followed this season closer than any previous and really appreciate all the things that are needed, including a good slice of luck, to win all the marbles. This is great for all of you lifers and long term fans to get the winners feeling.

Dingos tend to look after themselves.  I saw one at a sunny little place called Telfer once, sitting under a tree and suddenly jumped up running at a flat out sprint, covered about 15 - 20 yards and jumped up probably 8 feet and snatched a pigeon out of the air.  He then went back under the tree and ate his lunch looking pretty fucking pleased with himself.  Anyway, game back on, more tales from the outback after the next half inning.

Hey guys, thanks for the kudos.   I love being a part of this board with no Astros fans anywhere around me and my Dad and brother are *shudder* Cubs fans.   Still, I got congratulations from them and they said it was a better World Series than last year.  It's been my pleasure to do PBP for this historic championship run.   What a ride it's been.

Watching the Channel 2 coverage of the parade today on YouTube.   Great to have that record too...

Yeah, that game was pretty sweet alright, lucky we jumped out quick and got some runs before they realised there was a game on.  The on field celebrations were great, really glad to see Giles in the thick of it after the rough time he had.

I know exactly what you are saying. I did not realize how much tension I was feeling until the morning after game 7 when I was totally spent.
Although part of it was undoubtedly the late hours. Couldn't go to bed until a couple of hours after the long and late games as I was taking in every post-game interview, replay and commentary from the talking heads.
