Wow.  Gotta hand it to Hinch, he sticks by his players.  Reddick really needs to sit, probably more so in game 6.

Let's hope he becomes the hero!

Reddick is better against RHP, but kind of not good in 28 AB against Darvish. I'm sure we will see a lot more than Darvish tonight, though I suspect he will hang in there a while. Go Astros!

Greatest night of my life, since the Journey concert with Sherry in 1986.

Had to go get Love Street and Macallan 12. But I'm getting tuned up now. Got a special Habana puro I've been saving, and it's getting smoked no matter what happens.

Release the hounds!

With the pitcher hitting and Marwin and Reddick struggling the deep Astros lineup seems pretty short.

I am hoping JR keeps his head in the swing and goes the other way --- been most effective that way.

Cheers!

As coach in another sport, I tend to agree with you here.  Dance with what brought ya.

But, there is a small argument that a different look or personality or even a rookie like Fisher might put together a few good AB's -- then again maybe not.

I definitely defer to you JRaup!  Its been a while (about 5 years I suspect) since responding to your posts -  I hope you and son are well!

Changing the lineup for game 7 of the WS is crazy. This order has raked before, it can do it again.

Team slogans rarely bear any resemblance to the actual team or the season.

No so this year. The Astros have earned every damn thing they've got this year, and a World Championship will definitely have to be earned in L.A.

Let's go get 'em!

1-4 with a 2B.  He's hitting .143 for the series. I hope he hits the game-winner.

Lone Pint Yellow Rose four pack for starters, and my house is always fully stocked so can head down a variety of different avenues depending on the circumstances.   Worst case scenario, I can at least day dream about the girl on the Yellow Rose label.

T1 of Game 7, 2017, 0 outs, man on 2nd

Altuve,
ball out, changeup for a strike on the inside edge,  ball in the dirt, Bregman steals third,  Hit the right side, Bellinger grabs it, thinks about going home but Bregman scores, steps on first for the out 3 unassisted.  1 out.

B2 of Game 7, 5 - 0, 0 outs, man on 1st

Kershaw warming in the pen

Barnes
ball down and in, strike, ball high (but wasn't), curve in there,  grounder to third, Bregman lays out, gets it, and throws him out 5 - 3.   1 out

Taylor,

Lines the first pitch to Correa, who doubles off Forsythe off second to end the inning!

After 2, Astros 5, Dodgers 0

Great fortune. Warm up the pen.

McCann needs to be in Lance’s ear during the top of the 3rd.  He’s too damn amped up right now.  And Hinch needs to have Morton or Peacock getting loose.

Altuve just missed his.

Correa did not swing well for trying to jump on a first pitch FB

Yuli had a nice AB. Kershaw missed some spots.  Nice pitch for strike 3.

No swings/ misses,  velocity around 90.

We'll see how things shake out before his turn in the order.

B3 of Game 7, 5 - 0

Seager,
foul, strike on the inside edge, foul ripped into the seats up the right side, bounced in there,   lined into center, stumbles stopping, almost gets picked off as Springer throws it into Altuve who throws it over to 1st.

I don't think wanted to see him face another righty.

Probably the right thing to do.

Given this series,  however,  its hard to feel good about any move.

Lance hit 4 batters in 2 and 1/3rd and didn’t give up a run. I hope he realizes the significance of that in terms of both how good and how bad he can be and learn from it.

I'll give Josh credit for a participation trophy productive AB since Marwin got to 2nd.

That strike 2 call was horrendous and tilted the AB.

The swing on the 2-2 pitch wasn’t bad.  That pitch almost hit him.  But I wouldn’t be opposed to having Maybin or Gattis pinch hit for him his next time up if guys are on and a lefty is in.

The swing on the 2-2 pitch wasn’t bad.  That pitch almost hit him.  But I wouldn’t be opposed to having Maybin or Gattis pinch hit for him his next time up if guys are on and a lefty is in.

I'm gunna go all in on Reddick tonight!!

Brad to the dugout right now: "I don't know what I'm doing up here, please help."

Bregman: " You need to put one of these helmets on."

There's almost no chance of that happening with as many pitching changes as there could be.

I’m aware, just thinking out loud.  I’d love for Josh to make me eat crow more than anything, but at some point you can’t keep running him up there.

B4 of Game 7, 5 - 0

That guy Forsythe

strike 1,  small popup to the right side that Yuli can't get to, foul out to the right, ball just down,  grounded easily to Bregman, 5 - 3 1 out.

What do you suppose would have happened if the Astros intentionally walked Barnes in the bottom of the last inning? Would it have been worth the run risk to get rid of Kershaw?
