At the game just behind Astros dugout. Gomez is such a bitch. I hate that I ever rooted for the guy

Agree. I supported him as an Astro despite his antics and his abysmal play. Since the separation, he has proved he has a pinky sized dick.

I never liked Gomez. Sure I wanted him to do well when he wore the Astros uniform but he has always been a piece of crap.

Rangers broadcast inadvertently hit the nail on the head.  They were talking about Beltran being a Skokie veteran leader,  something the Astros didn't have until now with him/Josh/McCann.

No shit. Gomez proved anything but a leader.

At this point, I'd rather see White on the post season roster.

Crap, Correa, that has to be the sorriest attempt at catching a ball I've seen this side of T-ball. It was shitty throw from Gattis, but that's no excuse for that pathetic effort.

And, of course, it leads to a run.

And now Gattis can't stop strike three and can't track down the ball in time get Gomez at first, extending the inning for Odor. Just painful to watch.

And Marwin hits a worm-burner up the middle on one of the funkiest swings you'll see in a while, it goes through, and two more runners score.

That's the end of the line for Cashner, some other schlub is coming in.

Is it too much to ask for McHugh to throw up a zero here?

Man I love having a 1,2,3 inning in the field after a big inning at the plate.  Sit 'em down, and go right back to work with the bats.

I usually am embarrassed when the home fans get excited about routine fly balls.

Having seen only 2 Astros games with their announcers this year,  I can't imagine how I'd feel about Kalas from the way you guys describe him.

You are certainly right but it seems ridiculous to me that there was a warning simply because a Gomez freak out that had nothing to do with any pitch, the effect of the warning is that mchugh can't pitch inside as freely and then their asshole actually hits one of the Astros best players and there's no repercussion.

That was not an ordinary passed ball. In fact, it was a wild pitch.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.

Yep.  Knee jerk reaction from HPU.

Same thing happened in the last series in Arlington,  resulting in AJ and Dickhead arguing with the latter being tossed.

You're absolutely right.  Affects the game unnecessarily.

Good to see Moran get a swing in.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Altuve has a left forearm contusion.  X-rays negative.  He’s day to day per Mctaggart.

That's good to hear.  Looked like it was a glancing blow, rather than straight on, so hopefully it's just one of them really ugly marks that heals quickly.

The HPU can eject a pitcher for throwing at a batter whenever he deems it necessary so this warning the benches bit seems to me to be superfluously theatrical.

In a case such as today's with a known fuckwit like Gomez and no pitches of any intent from McHugh I think the correct move is for the umpire to tell Gomez to shut the fuck up and get back in the box and move on with the game.

I hope there is no lingering effects here. And Correa is really struggling. *Carlos Correa was 0x5 and is hitting .222/.282/.306 in September as he works to regain his form after missing significant time during the season. His .588 September OPS is the worst of his young career.

This all brought a smile to me: the crowd, the caption, the Keuchel quote, the incoherent Gomez meltdown and of course, the looming elimination.  Warms my heart to see that franchise that way.
