I'm watching the Yankees and Sea Hags right now, and the Sea Hags' defense isn't even at a junior high level. Balls between legs, pop ups falling in between people, bobbled ground balls, they've done just about everything. I almost feel sorry for the pitcher, but then I remember that he's pitching for Seattle, so too bad.

ETA: Four errors all told, plus a couple of plays that were errors in all but name.

Altuve with a 2-run tater!

2-0...one out...

That looked like a therapeutic swing there. Angry home run.

More shit baserunning....Reddick forgets how many outs there are and gets doubled off of 2B on a fly ball, killing the rally.

Make no mistake, not a deep fly his misread or a good play. It was a fucking outfield popup. McCann dropped his head the second he hit it. Obvious out. Fuck.

And it's the first fucking inning.  It's not like he got confused.  Reddick just wasn't fucking paying attention.

You guys should lay off Josh.  Any of you know how difficult it is to play baseball with your head up your ass?  You can't even see the scoreboard.

Plus the smell.

Reddick's glove should play hockey. He'd score a ton on deflections.

How was the bunt attempt not a strikeout if he squared around and never pulled back at the delivery to the catcher?

When I was on the swim team in school, they had numbered cards for the long races.  Someone would lower them into the water as you approached for the turn so you'd know how many laps it was.  They need something like that, apparently.

Japan is putting it away. They lead 7-2 in the bottom of the 5th, and they have two runners on with no outs.

Astros blew a 5-run lead yesterday, and a 4-run lead today.  If they lose this game, that's a four game swing in the standings.

Career triple  number 5.

In other words, McCann is more than twice as likely to hit a grand slam as he is to hit a triple

In the immortal words of Brad Lidge...that was fuckin' huge!

2-out rally started by Altuve sprinting out a routine, inning-ending ground ball to SS.

I think that Pujols was literally the last person I wanted to see at bat there. And then when that ball kept carrying, I was bracing for the worst.

It was a great comeback win that showed a lot of heart. Just missed a sweep.  But a great series win.
