Lamb...full count...strikes out swinging

The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Wonder if his foot is still bothering him.  Off the bat I didn't think they had a shot at two, but Altuve wasn't even halfway

Putting runners in scoring position, without them having to make contact...not a recipe for success.

That was a nice play by Fisher. It doesn't seem like it would be easy to work your way around that corner and get to that ball against the side of the Crawford Boxes.

There ya go.  Gave up the 0-2 hit, but got the twin killing for a quick inning.  Now back to work with the lumber.

He didn't initially go back to 3b on Altuve's flyball. The in a haste to get back to tag, he stepped on middle of the bag and slipped, therefore was unable to score.

Nice job by Clippard and solid, solid job by Charlie Morton.

For those not watching on tv, they said that is 18 straight starts for Morton where he has gone at least 5 innings. That is third longest streak in Astros history. He has put together a darn good season.

For such a good team, nailing down big leads with scrubs remains a problem. Really unusual how bad they are at this task.

Fuck the last two weeks; I'm only seeing 3 out of the last 4. Nice win.

I haven't been comfortable with Hoyt for about 2 months now. I wouldn't shed a tear if he was demoted. Problem is, who is replacing him????

Harris, hopefully.

2 in a row? 3 out of 4? I'm feeling faint...

Yep, Hoyt should be the odd man out when Harris is ready, hopefully sometime next week.

Who goes when McCullers is ready?? Musgrove???

They need Musgrove to be the long man to pick up the slack for the McCullers meltdowns. If Liriano can get his shit together, I'd send Guduan down.

Guduan already down for Clippard

We should be at or very close to expanded rosters when McCullers is back.

Both excellent points that demonstrate that I'm not paying enough attention.

I'd advise us to stop talking about everyone being healthy enough to have to make that decision right now.

Is anyone else annoyed with the play-by-play audio lately on the tv broadcast? It is like the mix is letting in too much crowd noise and I can barely hear the announcers without having the audio turned way up. Annoying as hell to me.

Yes, and sometimes Blum is hard to hear. I don't know if it is his mike or his style of talking, but he should Project more.

I have noticed inconsistencies in the audio mix all season. A few weeks back there an annoying yet barely audible high pitch tone. It seems the board operator often has squelch issues with too much gain.

Right now there is a feature on Springer on the pre-game show and you can't hear all of the family members because of this annoying music in the background is so loud. Amateurish.
