Currently rain delay in bottom of first.
Everyone's talking, few of them know
The rest are pretending, they put on a show
And if there's a message I guess this is it
Truth isn't easy, the easy part's shit

That's going to be annoying if it burns Fiers.

Those Rich Eisen commercials are so lame. If those are highlights his show must really suck.

Wow Marwin. Wow. Hard enough to score runs without that.

Davis is killing me.  They cannot continue to run him out there.

So we still have another month of JD Davis?

I'd rather Mike Fiers hit. Seriously.

Top of 2

Ross on the hill

Marwin hits a single to LCF and foolishly tries to stretch it into a double and Gallo in LF throws to Stinky waiting for him at second.
Fisher reaches on an error by Smelly
Davis hits the first pitch to Beltre for a 5-4-3 DP or maybe it was 5-6-3

After 1.5  0-0

I would rather bring up Kemp than Davis. He clearly isn't ready. Put Bregman back at third and Marwin at short. Kemp can rotate in the outfield.

Kemp can't play the left side of the infield. I never, in a million years thought I'd say this, but they have to get Tyler White back up.

Cy Ross at 34 pitches

Altuve - ball, strike, ball, strike, ball, ball, takes first.
Beltran - ball, foul, ball (Altuve steals second, his 26th), foul, FO to deep CF, Altuve tags-up and advances to 3rd.
Bregman - takes strike one, ball, takes strike two, hits a liner singel to LF, Altuve scores.
Marwin - throw to first, ball, throw to check Bregman at first, foul, ball, grounder to short, Marwin out 6-3, Bregman to 2nd.
Fisher - ball, HBP. Runners on 1st and 2nd.
Davis - still looking for a meaningful hit, doubles to RF, Bregman scores, Fisher is out by a mile at the plate. WTF?

I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

That was probably on the third base coach, though I would have liked to seen Fisher slide feet first there. At least if you slide there is a CHANCE you knock the ball loose. Fisher just gave up. Not a fan of that.

Nice hit by Davis though.

Notwithstanding the rbi hit, Davis is awful. He has no business on a team that is trying to make the playoffs, especially with the other options available.

Since I left Houston, the Astros are down 3-2, but since I've sat down at a bar in Colorado, the Astros are winning 2-0. I should hunker down here.

Since I left Houston, the Astros are down 3-2, but since I've sat down at a bar in Colorado, the Astros are winning 2-0. I should hunker down here.

The record says both McCann and Gattis have thrown out a couple. I honestly don't recall either of them throwing out a runner this year b

When the Astros were shitty, I never looked at the standing. When they opened up a greater than 15 game lead on the league I quit checking the standing. Now I'm going to have to start again.

After tonight it'll be down to 12 games.

Why is the "Houston" logo on the jerseys tonight so tiny?

Man, the offense went belly up after the 6th.

They've only had four hits tonight, and two of them resulted in an out.

Well, HH it wasn't your PBP because my PBP did nothing to stop the bleeding. I'm at a loss. I don't know what to do? Watch Zapped? Eat Frito Pie and watch Charles in Charge? I don't want to do that. Even Wotan has abandoned Wednesday, (three losses in a row). Maybe I should wear ladies underware? Fuck!! I don't know what to do.

The worst part of this is all of the inevitable "Houston, we have a problem" headlines as the descent continues. Followed by articles about Game 5 of the 1980 series against Philly and Game 6 in the 1986 series agains the Mets, followed by the comparisons to the 1993 Oilers-Bills playoff game when they finally surrender what was once a seemingly insurmountable division lead.
