T1:

Bregman...full count...walks

Bregman picked off of 1B...1-3-6 caught stealing
Reddick...full count...walks
Gurriel...0-2...1-2...strikes out swinging

No score
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

I'm ready to see April/May Keuchel.
I remember all the good times me 'n Miller enjoyed

But the future has to change - and to change I've got to destroy
Oh look out Lennon here I come - land ahoy-hoy-hoy

Two innings' worth of pitches, two innings' worth of hitters, one game's worth of runs, all in one inning.

I hope that this inning they'll sit back and make Holland come into the zone.

Missed the first half of the first and was feeling pretty bad about Keuchel's first inning, then I saw Holland take the mound and felt a little better.

That looked like it actually went off of his wrist. But I can't really fault him for that one; that's a nasty fence.

There, he finally buried that slider in and down on the righty. He's been leaving that up enough that they're just golfing it down the LF line.

Exactly. He's just going through his second spring training. Unfortunately these count.

I think that ball hit Marisnick on the wrist below his glove. Kuechel is throwing BP.

If Keuchel isn't good and McCullers isn't good then who's good?  I had high hopes for this start tonight.

B3:

Abreu singles to LCF on the first pitch
Garcia hits one to deep RCF...Jake runs back...reaches up...ball hits off his arm...rolls all the way back towards the RF line...Abreu had to hold because he thought Jake might catch it, so he moves to 3B and Garcia has to settle for a double
Smith...3-1...full count...doubles down LF line...Abreu scores, Garcia scores
Moncada...full count...walks
Garcia...0-2...strikes out swinging
Delmonico...3-1...3-2...grounds into FC...Moncada out 4-6 at 2B, but Bregman bobbles it on the turn...Smith to 3B
Engel singles to LF, Smith scores, Delmonico to 2B
Anderson grounds out 5-3

6-3 Sox

Maybe Dallas was so irate at about the club not picking up a starter at the deadline because he knew he wasn't right.

Seriously, what is wrong with Keuchel?  What little bit I've seen was ugly.  Is he trying to prove a point (I really don't think he is doing that.)

But, how bad has the offense been to not score more against Holland who doesn't seem to be pitching much better?

Guduan in...

Garcia singles up the middle
Delmonico walks

Guduan out, Musgrove in

Engel...0-2...flies out to shallow RF on a running catch by Reddick
Garcia picked off of 2B...1-4...Sox challenging...looks safe...overturned, so no out
Anderson singles to LF, Garcia was running on the pitch, but hesitates, and Marwin guns him out at the plate 7-2, Delmonico to 2B
Saladino grounds out 5-3

Interesting inning, but it remains 8-5

I'm more of a Lou Malnati's sort of guy, myself. But if I have deep dish once a year that might be too much.
Yeah, I like a deep dish every couple of years. I'm a thin crust guy.

Fisher has been a strikeout machine since he came back up.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

The last time I was in Chicago my wife and I flew in late and were walking around famished, starting to kind of bicker due to a combination of hunger and tiredness while debating a few places in close proximity to the hotel. We dropped into Lou's to end the debate because other options had longer waits. Despite my extreme hunger, I was only able to eat a piece or two because it's basically like eating a lead weight, albeit a tasty lead weight. I won't need another Chicago style pizza until about 2020 though. I'm more of a New York or Napoletna style fan on a regular pizza basis.

And then he wasted it.

T9:

Clippard in for the Sox...

Altuve singles to LF
Reddick strikes out swinging at a pitch in his eyes
Gurriel...full count...check swing single over 1B...Altuve to 3B
Marwin...takes a 1-2 pitch almost right down the center of the plate and it's called ball two...got a break there...Marwin strikes out swinging at the next pitch that bounces...Gurriel takes 2B
Beltran...1-2...down to their last strike...grounds out 3-1

And the Astros go down as the Sox snap a 6-game losing streak...8-5 is the final.

Interference?

At Bat said Yuli went to second on it. I bet it was indifference mistyped.

Pound the Budweiser and get 'em tomorrow. 11-12 since the break, and Kuechel is reeling.

Yeah, it was indifference...he took 2B on Marwin's strikeout.

4-8 in the last 12
