With McHugh going tomorrow they really need Fiers to go deep tonight.  As opposed to getting taken deep.
Goin' for a bus ride.

Springer grounds out, Moran can't score. Altuve gets the job done with an RBI groundout. 5-0

I sincerely hope nobody is depending on my shitty pbp... I have to do chores as I watch in front of various Tv's around the house....

Reddick grounds out... headed to the bottom of the 2nd, 5-0 Astros

Lots of stuff happened while I carried a bunch of heavy shit from one place to another place... 5-1 Astros after 3.

I now have to unpack and sort that heavy shit. My poor pbp has tragically come to an end.

I'm in a plane, somewhere over the Pacific. Listening to Ford and Sparks, but think I'm a batter or two behind.

If you're leaving the country that means the Astros are gunna get healthy again! So maybe the key to a long streak is having both the team and HH on the road.

I don't like to comment on how well Astros pitchers are doing when they are pitching during a game but Peacock was sensational the other day. What is he doing with a 8-1 record and an era under 2.50? No one could have predicted that.

You see a lot of volleyball in Sumatra. If there's a group if 8 or 10 youngsters out playing, chances are it's volleyball. Not sure why.

Anyone here read "The Talent Code" by Daniel Coyle? Fascinating book... a must read IMHO. When I hear about things like that it always makes me think of that book.

We traded a drunk sexual harasser for a BBG taunting homer with poor depth perception this offseason. Maybe it's a lesson on trades for all of us.

I like Kalas. A dead mike is better than Ashby.
He tends to be a bit goofy at times but I like Kalas. I like hearing his and Ford's voices on the highlights when I watch the recaps on MLB Network in the mornings.

Feliz on for the 8th
Machado 1B hit 4 balls hard tonight for 1 hit
Schoop K on good slider
Davis K
Trumbo wild pitch allows run on 1B
Mancini  K

8-2 heading to 9th
Often wrong, but never in doubt.

Attention MLB teams: The Astros will gladly trade Sipp and Hoyt for LITERALLY anything.

Please, all offers considered.

Good thing is that Devo and Giles only had to throw four pitches each. But yeah. That was vomit inducing relief work tonight.

Absolutely, but as you said, the 9th inning ought to motivate Lunhow to make a move to upgrade the pitching staff.

He's made a lot of noise about doing the thing that rhymes with "hand flat," but that would be insane at this point.
He needs at least two bullpen arms. They don't all have to be stars, but he needs bodies, plural. Keuchel and McHugh will not be the solution right away... they're going to be on hard pitch counts for quite a while. Maybe McCullers too, if he's not 100% yet.
When the Clark is dead, Spack will eat his spleen. Before he dies, Spack will put his posts under the knife so the Clark will see his threads wiped out forever...

The giant divisional lead means he doesn't have to fret about one loss being the difference in making the postseason or not.  So he can afford to wait and make the best deal at the right time not any deal at this time.  Thinking about it I wonder if he's got very specific pitchers in mind, and not necessarily all the ones mentioned in the media, to deal for (and not dealing for anyone else) and is waiting out the best price.
Goin' for a bus ride.
