So far I'm much happier with tonight's game. They even covered second base on a double-play ball.

Apparently, the Astros play better after a night of sleep in hotel beds. Home bed has an adverse effect on bats, and the charter flight chair in recline mode negatively affects ability to make routine defensive plays.

Good to see the orange billed caps back tonight.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Out in public he might have to answer questions. You won't be seeing him in any uncontrolled situations anytime soon.

We know that the Canadians affected the last election, with the Senator running an ineffectual campaign to allow the Trump election. And we haven't heard anymore about the Canadians paying for a wall since the inauguration.  He must be feeling pretty cocky.  I'm just wondering what those pitch speeds are code for.

There was an article this morning were Correa called out the BJ's closer for the last out last night. He fielded an easy grounder from Correa and held the ball until Correa got close to first before he threw. Carlos wasn't happy about it.

Pearce.  Strike looking.  Strike swinging.  Martes needs to go right at him.  Ball on a curve.  Foul on a 97 mph fastball.  Strikes out swinging.

That game was so much better than the last.
Everyone's talking, few of them know
The rest are pretending, they put on a show
And if there's a message I guess this is it
Truth isn't easy, the easy part's shit

That's how you bounce back and stomp the shit out of someone.

Pound the ol' Budweiser, boys!
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Damn this has been a fun season thus far! Go 'Stros!

Hey! An OSF sighting!

Hey! An OSF sighting!

Alas, baseball-splaining (among other things) to an almost 2-year old takes up much of my time these days...
Still around though, and hope to spend a little more time 'enjoying the ride' at OWA in the second half!

Great advice! Its the ethical considerations that I'm having trouble deciding how to teach... For example, if you could go back in time and kill Selig before he was born, would you? Should you? And how do you explain Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull to a child?!? I haven't a clue how to handle those things...

You never show it to them, of course.

I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

When they're old enough you just show them the South Park episode.
You may ask yourself, "How do I work this?"

My boys love Indiana Jones and they loved Crystal Skull. It's not that hard to appeal to a 5 year old.
