West Coast games and a dog who likes to get up at 5 are killing me.

No kidding. I get up at 4:30 and I'm dragging even just watching a few innings. I also find myself waking up at 1:00 or 2:00 to check the score.

I'm up at 4 for work so watching 1 inning is a stretch for me. At least we'll be back home next week, and I may be able to catch the last few innings of tomorrows game.

I tried to go to bed Monday night, but I kept checking the score. I gave in and watched the whole thing last night.

Gallo just hit a standup inside the park home run off the LF wall to make it 7-3.  The LF fell down hurt and the Jays never even fielded the ball.

Marshall Brewery in Tulsa has an Atlas IPA that I really like. I don't know how extensively they distribute away from  Tulsa.

I love it, it's like visiting an old friend every time I have one. But not every beer is for everybody... plenty of popular ones I'm not fond of. My favorite stone creations though are the "enjoy by" series. I make sure to hunt some down every year.

What I can get here is limited, obviously, and random. I mentioned the other day that for some reason Evil Twin products, some of them, anyway, suddenly appeared. I've been enjoying the Sunshine Slacker Session IPA. The Founders All Day in the bottle is an old friend beer for me.

When I visit my brother in the US his local supermarket has a make your own sixpack offer, so I go out of my way to try as many things as I can. Maybe the make your own sixpack thing is ubiquitous now, I don't know.

Ahhh right. I remember your location now. I know that Stone really emphasizes freshness (as most good IPAs should). They even put the date of canning/bottling when possible on their packaging. I realize how incredibly snotty this sounds... sorry... but with an IPA I think they're best no more than 60 days after canning. Don't get me wrong... I'll still drink it if it's 5 years old, I'll just expect something different. Other brews do well with time but those hops just don't last very long. I've done some beer aging (it's fun!) and I see the ipas more like "how soon can I drink this" rather than a "how long can I age this" kinda deal.

You can actually find Stone here, too, but I've had it plenty of times in the US and know that it's not a favorite. There are some British bottled ales that somehow make their way here and although I enjoy them I eventually had to quit buying them because a distressing percentage of them are skunky.

Gattis with a 2-run single!
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

The infield came in when Gattis got to 0-2...not sure if Pinder could have made the play on Gattis's ball or not, but Correa would have had to hold to make sure it got down

T6:

Altuve...3-0...3-1...fouls off ball four...singles to RF
Correa...2-0...lines one past the SS to CF, Altuve to 3B, Correa moves to 2B on the throw...good base running by Carlos
Gattis...corners in...0-2...now infield comes all the way in...broken bat single to CF, Altuve scores, Correa scores
McCann strikes out swinging at a pitch that bounces in the other box
Gurriel smokes a single to CF, Gattis to 2B
Bregman...0-2...strikes out swinging on a pretty weak swing
Marisnick...0-2...singles to LF, Gattis scores
Aoki strikes out swinging

So Manea strikes out the side, but gives up five hits in between.  Astros up 3-0

Manaea has pitched them tough several times, only to run out of gas late.  Good job putting up runs when they had the chance.
