Ugh. Bregman...3-2 with two on a nobody out...swings at ball four, swings at ball five then grounds into a rally killing double play.

The astros boot two pop ups to start off the inning, although Correa has to run much farther than Gurriel did to have the ball clank off his glove.

Correa took his eye off the ball to find Aoki then it hit on the heel. I guess I'd rather have that than Aoki take his knees out. I'm guessing Aoki didn't help him out much.

Astros stringing hits together and now lead 3-1. Correa, Gattis, Marwin, and Gurriel. The bases are juiced, and Severino's pitch count is over 80 in the 3rd.

It is shocking that Girardi would pull Severino after two and a third on a day where they're playing two.

Anyway, happy birthday to all you mothers out there.

What are the odds we lose a rain-shortened game 1? Could that happen and they still play game 2 if the weather clears up?

I think the only restriction is that the first game must be completed before they start the second. I'd find it hard to see th m calling the field unplayable for the first but then start the second.

Yes.  Keuchel was drafted in 2009, Luhnow came on board in 2012.

Infield single scores a run, but Correa saved the game for the moment knocking that down.  That was a bullet.

Why would they be looking to the next game?  They didn't put hitters away.  It happens.

He has had an awful series. He has earned a place on the bench for game 2.

Maybe he should be in the lineup after all.
