I think y'all are making to much of this shit. The problem, as I see it, is that Correa is simply not swinging at pitches he can hit. It has nothing to do with locking his hips, or muscle memory, or neurological triggers, or or eating boogers. It's approach. He's taking good pitches, getting behind, then hacking. He has to be more aggressive in the strike zone. Go up there looking for a pitch to hit and whack it. It's not *that* hard.
