Soon the full season rosters will be announced and inevitably the questions will be asked as to "Where's player XYZ?". Injuries aside, the answer of course is EST. One such player we know will be there per Jake Kaplan is the 20-year old Cuban lefty Cionel Perez (effective signing cost of $4MM this past winter). As noted in the article, he sat 93-94 with his FB (touching 96) in his first minor league outing of ST. Competitively, he last pitched in 2014 in the CNS.

RHP Brendan McCurry--he'll of course be serving that 50-game suspension after being popped for methamphetamines (which he later denied using).
RHP Forrest Whitley--as mentioned in another thread, plan (subject to change) is to hold him back in EST until the weather warms in the MWL.

Unfortunately, the milb transactions pages have been dreadfully slow to be updated this year (all 3 of those guys are still shown as "active").  I kind of expected to see one or two of those names show up on the BA transactions page which came out the other day reflecting last week's activity. They weren't there, obviously, and haven't (yet) shown up on the various injury reports.

[Update #12] ICYMI, Andrew Walter was activated off the DL for the first time this season and pitched in last night's game for BC. That was his first game action in over a year--he last pitched on May 8 last season while at Lancaster. He's coming off TJS. Walter has pitched in hi-A ball for parts of the last 4 seasons. He originally signed with the Astros as a NDFA back in 2011.
