Mariners at Astros, Closing Day
« on: September 28, 2016, 01:16:00 pm »
Well that didn't take very fucking long. Cano gets a cookie in the first...3-0 Mariners before there's even a fucking out
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Fister's last 7 starts, including today:

27 IP, 48 H, 12 BB, 13 K, 33 R, 30 ER, 10.00 ERA, 2.222 WHIP

Brent Strom out after 14 pitches...

Hey Doug. You know how we have talked about the fact that your fastball isn't very, well, fast?

I remember.

Ok, so, if you throw some off speed pitches, sometimes that helps keep hitters off balance.

Right, I totally forgot about that. Stupid. Thanks, Strommy

Bregman just struck out, be appears to be seeing the ball well. That's a good sign after a long layoff. It suggests to me that he won't be one prone to long slumps.

How does a guy look at 3 strikes without swinging when his teammates are hammering this pitcher?

Never made, GameDay changed its mind and said he swung at the last pitch.

Well he just got yanked. An inning and a third. I have no earthly idea why Kevin fucking Chapman is being allowed to pitch now.

Rains it pours. Botched pickoff leads to another run. M's still batting, and can't seem to make an out even when they try.

Hernandez and Marisnick with back to back doubles, Bregman with a single, but Marisnick thrown out at the plate.

Astros challenging...replay is clear...catcher missed the tag...should be reversed.

Yep...7-3

Martin now swipes 3B, followed by a rule book double.

Missing the cutoff man costs a run. 9-4

That's like saying the trade off for bringing the infield in is forgetting how many outs there are.
