Because of some emergencies at work I hadn't been paying a lot of attention to the wild card race over the last couple of days, although I was under the general impression that the Astros had more-or-less held their own. So I was really surprised when I looked up today and found out that they're 4 games back, and a game behind the Sea Maggots, no less. WTF?

The rotation went into complete meltdown for two weeks.

Dearest Starting Pitching,

Oh, how I have missed you so. Your absence has left a gaping hole in my heart. I know without a doubt that your abandonment must have good reason so I dare not question your motives. I can only ask you please stay a short while more....

Yours eternally,

Holy fuckin batman.  The Astros, at this point, have the same fucking chance at a playoff spot as anyone else not already securing the wild card spots. Three way tie. Win games and they have a shot. With roughly three weeks left and two football seasons starting up, I'm one happy sports fan!
