Bregman's swing really does look compact and quick.

Castro watches the hanging slider that could have caused real problems for the Yankees.
I remember all the good times me 'n Miller enjoyed
Up and down the M1 in some luminous yo-yo toy
But the future has to change - and to change I've got to destroy
Oh look out Lennon here I come - land ahoy-hoy-hoy

No other catcher in the event Gattis is injured.

Really nice, competitive AB there by Tucker against a really tough lefty.

Oh no, ashby just said almost the exact same thing. I'll show myself out shamefully.

If you don't have an irrational hatred for bare handing a baseball I think you may still be OK.

There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

Last two nights have been anticlimactic... But, lots of good baseball yet to be played. If you need a refresh Vin Scully is talking baseball at home in LA tonight. Always puts me in a good mood!

I jumped straight to the Rays game, a bonus to hear Scully calling the game.

They flipped the negative.  Maybe he did uppercut from both sides. I didn't see him play that much relegated to the Game of the Week which they were on about half of the time. It was the last couple years of his career and he was clearly hobbled. I didn't see him hit from the right side all that much.

his right side swing was not an uppercut. left side yes, but if you are Mantle or Williams, you can swing any way you damn well please.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.

I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.
