The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Altuve an All Star starter! Excellent news. And Harris appearing for the second consecutive year? Or will this be his first? Wish George had made it.

Springer is  on the vote-in but I wouldn't expect that to happen. half of the voters couldn't tell you who he is.

Carlos Correa just made a great play on a 102 MPH grounder... His first step was in 0.03 seconds. Great exchange and throw too.

5-2 Astros
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

The goddamn Rangers won.

B8:

Altuve pops out to shallow RF
Correa with a long single off the LF wall
Rasmus walks on four pitches, Correa to 2B
Valbuena jogs into a 5-4-3 double play

To the 9th...Astros up 5-2

Valbuena sure wasn't interested in beating out that double play.

I hope that the Astros have only decided on this broadcast format because the on air talent, ahem ashby, can't get by without it. It seems to be pandering to the lowest common denominator at times.

One thing about Blum is that somehow he doesn't let Ash drag the broadcast completely into the wilderness. I would have hoped for more from Brownie on that front.

T9:

Harris in...

Lee grounds out 6-3
Seager chops one to 3B, but no one there on the shift...single
Lind, pinch hitting for Iannetta, strikes out swinging
Seager steals 2B
O'Malley strikes out looking

Astros win 5-2

My brother watches commercials that he absolutely despises. He seems to enjoy being pissed off. I really don't understand it. Anyway, he'll go to youtube and find these commercials he hates and infuriate himself even more by reading the comments from viewers who greatly enjoy them. They LOVE these commercials that my brother abhors.

What I'm saying is that maybe the twenty of us in here are just about the only people around that can't stand Ashby and his nonsense and the team is well aware that most people think he's great.

I refuse to believe that more than a handful people actually think assby does a good job.

I suspect you're right.  I wonder how often fandom is replaced by new fandom?  Most folks would wonder JD who?

I'm with you on this.  I've had positive responses on Twittter when I tweet Reid and then people at work that I talk Astros with agree.  I do not believe those people post here.  Anyone listening knows Ashby is bad.  The creepy interactions with Julia should be enough to get him fired, or at least beat up by her boyfriend/fiance/husband.

Or by Julia herself. I think she could take him.
