I wish I could make myself nap from now 'til 9:00,. Last night I slept through the 3rd through 7th inning.

The rest are pretending, they put on a show
And if there's a message I guess this is it

I made it through last night in toto but felt like hammered do-do all day. Never got a chance to nap today and have had a bottle of wine. Will be shocked if I make it through this one.

Altuve learning to take a walk is the most important thing this season.

These west coast games are just about the best thing that could happen to the Astros. I can't watch the entire game, so that means they get to work the last half of the game without the stifling effects of my watching them. Worked perfectly last night. I went to bed with them trailing 1-0, and woke up to discover that they turned it around late.

Not even close.  Ok, pretty close.

Does Gattis have any triples this year?

No.  He's lost a step.

I feel asleep in the 7th; then my 1.5 year old decided to wake up at 5:30. At least woke up to good news.

He's saving them for a late season triples tear

Oddly, I kind of enjoy the late games. It is the day-after that is rough. Last night it was after 1 before I hit the sack.

Bregman has 2 hits tonight including a HR in the TL All-Star game. Half of the south team appears to be Hooks.

Special player, I tell you.

Chuck, to confirm, are you still going with the Luhnow is a McKinsey moron ruining the team angle?

Man, Gattis had a pitch to crush right there. Unfortunately, he fouled it off, and then swung over a couple of low balls for the K. Seems vaguely familiar.

What did you drink last night?

I fell asleep with my headphones on listening to the radio feed. I was jolted out of my slumber when the final DP was turned. Perhaps part of my brain let me enjoy a somnolent respite and only pulled me back into the mix for the bottom line. Or it was happenstance created by normal sleep patterns because it ended so effing late.

I didn't drink last night except for coffee.  Just don't do well on five hours sleep anymore.

BTW, Feldman has done a really good job tonight.

He also says that a guy is used in long relief because he can pitch multiple innings. Now that's groundbreaking

I would pay good money to hear someone hit that dipshit sitting near the field mike with a 2x4.

I've had enough strawberry lemonade vodkas here at El Tiempo to where I really just don't care anymore.

And my bringing up McKinsey was in relation to an episode where he completely jerked around a key player in an aborted negotiation and that episode remains very real.
