Are you going?  I'm  thinking about trying to move some things around in order to make it, and I will try harder to do so if you are attending.  Shockingly, this is the penultimate business fan's special of the year.  The next and final one is in September.

Make sure to rent a boat to get in and out.

Flash flood watch has been issued starting at 10:00pm tonight through 6:00pm on Wednesday.  Hard to say, but there's definitely the possibility of flooding.  Weatherman should know more as the day goes on.

Houston may be a bit paranoid right now, but my guess is pretty good.

crap. I did not think about that issue.

It's going to be a tough ride for SE Texas, for sure.  3-6" of rain for everyone, 5-7" for a bunch and 10+" for some.  Starts in earnest around 10pm this evening.  Take care everyone and heed the "turn around, don't drown" mantra.  Don't assume a road that was there a day before is still there under water washing over a road.  Remember, flooding is *BY FAR* the biggest weather-related killer in the US each year.

It's not bad now.  The rain is not supposed to hit until later today, and the worst is supposed to be down the coast below Corpus.  The worst that happens is that you end up in a hotel room or in our spare bedroom.

I was with you till the last sentence.

 How about:

"I deserve good things, I am entitled to my share of happiness. I refuse to beat myself up. I am an attractive person. I am fun to be with. "

or

"Today, I've decided to take a risk, and wear a new sweater. It was sent to me by a recovering sex addict, Melissa D., who knitted it herself; she said it gave her something to do with her hands. "

It appears for Houston late afternoon-early evening storms may pose a flooding problem.  When I crossed Brays Bayou in Meyerland this morning it was already nearly half full, so a sudden large dump of 5 or so inches could potentially lead to flooding.

Neil, I'm going to pass to make sure I'm south of the bayou in the early afternoon.  Though I am having lunch with one of your partners today.

Our offices downtown were proactively closed today.  It just started raining at my house, and it's raining pretty hard.

We could all go to Neil's house and watch the game in his man cave.
