Tropeano gives up a bases-loaded, 2 out, 2 strike triple right as I sat down. Rangers 3-0.

Fowler really busted his hump chasing down that triple. Not.

I'm wondering about Tropeano's level of admiration for Fowler's stylishly casual canter in the general direction of what turned out to be a triple for Odor.

I thought the same thing. What the fuck, Fowler? Horrible jump made worse by his lackadaisical effort both before and after the ball hit the ground.

Watching the replay, I think y'all are being unfair to Fowler. The jump was fine and he slowed up, probably expecting a hard bounce off the wall.

Great play by Marisnick.  Not a good route, but quite a grab.

Yes, I'm sure he slowed up so he could prepare to play the bounce. What I'm questioning is whether that was the right decision; perhaps bases loaded and two outs in a scoreless game means you take a little more of a risk and try to catch it in the air. And no excuse for his leisurely pace of picking up the ball and getting it back in.

I watched it again and again.  I can't envision him ever catching it. The effort near the wall is certainly debatable though.

I think his running motion, even at full effort, appears more lackadaisical than it actually is.

Oh, and the good guys lose.  That was either quality or lucky positioning of the left fielder on the last out. I expected a tie game off the bat.

In the end, my dissolution with the game of baseball will not be a result of any loss of love for the game, rather from the realization that I can no longer bear the anger its supposed stewards cause to be built up in my soul. -Lee (01/08/2013)
